ROME, Nov 21, 2009 (AFP) - Former France striker David Trezeguet faces a month on the sidelines after pulling his calf in training, Juventus said on their website.

According to la Gazzetta dello Sport, Trezeguet played in a practice match in training and then did some stretching, during which time he felt a pain in his calf.

After undergoing analysis, his club announced that he would be out for 30 days due to a slight tear in the muscle.

The Frenchman of Argentine parentage moved into the record books in his last game when he scored against Atalanta, taking his tally of Juventus goals to 167.

That put him alongside Argentine Omar Sivori as the highest scoring foreigner in Juve's history.

After enduring a miserable season in the last campaign, he has started this one well, scoring six goals in 13 games.

Although he and strike partner Vincenzo Iaquinta are both out, Juve are set to welcome back club captain Alessandro Del Piero for Sunday's match against Udinese.
