Ribery set for first start in four months

BERLIN, Feb 9, 2010 (AFP) - Bayern Munich's France international winger Franck Ribery will make his first start for four months in the German Cup quarter-final with Greuther Furth, Bayern boss Louis van Gaal said on Tuesday.

Out of action for three-and-a-half months due to tendinitis in his left knee, 26-year-old Ribery has featured as a second-half substitute in Bayern's last three league matches.

He came on at half-time in Bayern's 3-1 victory over Wolfsburg on Saturday and produced a lively showing, paving the way for his inclusion in the starting XI against second-tier Greuther Furth on Wednesday.
