PARIS, Feb 27, 2010 (AFP) - French champions Bordeaux's game at Le Mans on Sunday has been postponed due to a storm warning in the Sarthe region, local government announced.

"Security could not be assured with 80 kilometre an hour gusts of wind forecast during the game," an official reported on Saturday.

The match was also called off to prevent Bordeaux fans travelling by road with violent winds of possibly up to 140kmh expected in the west of France.

Meteo France has issued an orange alert weather warning for 66 of the 95 French departments from 2000 GMT Saturday.
