Congratulations to WSN user hong13588 from Hong Kong who has won the first WSN Championship with $1,588,022.98 points! hong13588 beat hundreds of users who participated in the first WSN Championship and will receive a brand new Sony PSP valued at $250.00 USD! WSN user maanjoy came in second place and will receive a new Apple iPod Nano valued at $150.00 USD. WSN’s very own Filippo Zhang came in third place and will get, yet another, super-awesome WSN T-Shirt.

We would like to thank everybody who played in the first WSN competition. Your feedback helped us find bugs and improve the game to make it the best experience possible. While we fixed many bugs (like being able to bet unlimited amounts of points, :0), we also made many improvements like showing users how much they have already risked on each bet and disabling the check-box for bets when users have already risked the maximum.

For the first WSN Championship, we let users bet as many points as they wanted even if they did not have any balance. Going forward, users will only be able to risk money that they have and will only be able to risk a maximum of $5000 or 5% of their balance, whichever is greater. For these reasons, hong13588 will be the biggest WSN winner for a long time (or at least until we add parlays!).
