Being a fellow football fanatic and blogger myself, I felt it was necessary to dish out some love to, in my opinion, the best independent Premiership team blogs on the net. The key word here is independent (at least I think they are independent), which means they are not affiliated with any of the bigger blog sites such as The Offside or OleOle and probably do not do this for much more than the sake of the club (or perhaps voicing their utter dismay on a public stage). Not to take anything away from those sites but I enjoy reading content that is directly from us, the fans. It is not watered down for the sake of anyone else and is almost always emotionally driven by people who have been following their respective clubs for much of their lives. Check em’ out here:
Arsenal – The Gunning Hawk – Guarantees 8 original posts on each Arsenal match day as well as their “By The Fans” section that features original fan-written articles.
Aston Villa – The Villa Blog – Daily post blog for the Aston Villa faithful.
Birmingham City – Joys and Sorrows – I’d say the name about sums up the life of a Birmingham fan.
Blackburn Rovers – The Rovers Return – Written and managed by original Rovers fan Dan Clough.
Bolton Wanderers – Manny Road – Brings you the latest news and views from Reebok Stadium.
Burnley – Burnley FC Blog – Scarce selection for the Burnley followers.
Chelsea – The Chelsea Blog – “A sometimes cynical, although I’d like to think usually realistic perspective, with maybe even the odd bit of praise where it’s due.” -The voice behind The Chelsea Blog
Everton – Everton Blog – Daily news and editorials directly from the heart of the Merseyside.
Fulham – Seriously can’t find any decent Fulham blogs. Please, enlighten me.
Hull City – Boyhood Dreams – Great daily post blog from a true, diehard Hull City fan.
Liverpool – Kop Blog – Liverpool FC fans’ blog discussing the latest events surrounding the Reds, written by Gerry Ormonde from the ‘This Is Anfield‘ website.
Manchester City – Manchester City Blog – Includes match-by-match reports, as well as individual player ratings and analysis.
Manchester United – Red Rants – Tough to narrow em’ down here with the abundance of United blogs, but this one is very thorough, consistently updated, and well-written.
Portsmouth – Portsmouth FC Blog – Lacks consistency but seems to be the best fan based content from the Pompey followers.
Stoke City – Why Delilah – Interesting articles accompanied by weekly match reports. Averages about 4 posts a day.
Sunderland – SAFC Fans – Not even sure if this is a proper blog, but it’s the best I could find for the club.
Tottenham Hotspur – Dear Mr. Levy – The site slogan is “Tottenham, it’s kinds like Purgatory”. Hilarious. This guy writes good stuff. If only he had a little better search engine optimization…Also check out All Action Plot.
West Ham United – West Ham Till’ I Die – Written by Iain Dale, publisher of Total Politics magazine and Iain Dale’s Diary, Britain’s most widely read political blog.
Wigan Athletic – Ye Olde Tree and Crown – Wigan fans site with daily news, analysis, and match reports.
Wolverhampton Wanderers – Wolves Blog – Created en lieu of the Wolves recent Premiership promotion from their Championship winning season. Very well done and consistently updated.
