10 Reasons why Chelsea will win the Premiership
Published by adam | Filed under Football (aka soccer), Miscellaneous, Predictions
In no particular order I have listed my thoughts on Chelsea, and any other squad that could possibly stand in their way. With Chelsea’s recent form, players around the world, including Kaka are claiming Chelsea as the “strongest [team] in Europe.”

1. Chelsea(33), 11-0-2 is 5 long points ahead of the last 3 season Champions Manchester United (28). That’s a lot of points.
2. Captain John Terry, an ambassador to English football and the game in general, remembers hitting that post. He will not make that mistake again.
3. Chelsea has goal scorers. Chelsea just beat the Wolves, scoring 3 goals in 22 minutes. The final score was 4-0 without the likes of injured Frank Lampard (thigh), Didier Drogba (knock), Deco and Michael Ballack (knee). You would think that this crew is the backbone of the Chelsea squad. Compare the bench with Liverpool for example.
4. Sir Alex Ferguson will continue to be a pain in everyone’s ass. And eventually will be the downfall of this squad. How much longer does Grumpy Old Alex have anyway? Other than that, Rooney has too much pressure on his back to score goals, while Berbatov, although injured, is nonexistent.
5. Liverpool is under-performing, currently at the 7th spot with a mere 20 points. The bench is just not deep enough while Coach Rafael Benitez is under constant media and fan scrutiny. On the other hand, plenty of Reds fans are claiming that it isn’t Benitez, but the cancerous American ownership that is creating havoc in Anfield. Please explain why Benayoun is receiving so little playing time. Although he played the majority of the game, Benayoun was subbed in and then out.
6. Arsenal’s Robin van Persie is out for some time. Horse placenta? What the hell is that? Another story, but apparently the witch doctor has fled as she lacks proper registration. View Article.
Anyways, despite having control of 65% of the match, the Gunners could not find the back of the net against Sunderland. Proof of the negative impact of Persie’s absence. Why was Andrei Arshavin not called onto the pitch until the 60th minute while Eduardo plays for over 70? Fabregas however, has just claimed he is sticking with Arsenal despite recent Barcelona rumors. The Spaniard even stated he may finish his career as a Gunner.
7. Joe Cole is back from injury and looking fit again. The midfielder scored his first goal in over a year against the Wolves. I have a feeling that there will be more to come.

8. Chelsea has tied their record of 10 consecutive home games with out conceding a goal, and has now reached 13 home wins in a row. So my 8th reason… Chelsea is on cruise control.
9. Man U lets Ronaldo go and refuses to get another star player in his void. Woops.
10. This guy called Didier Drogba.

As for any problems that may come along…
“The only problem looming on Chelsea’s horizon is January’s African Cup of Nations, when they will lose Drogba and Salomon Kalou to the Ivory Coast, Ghana’s Michael Essien and John Mikel Obi of Nigeria.
That is not the problem it once seemed, though, now that the club have succeeded in getting the FIFA-imposed transfer ban suspended for January when they may make a renewed bid to bring in Atletico Madrid’s Argentine striker Sergio Aguero.” View Full Article.
