Group G: Brazil / Ivory Coast / North Korea / Portugal
FIFA World Ranking: 1
Manager: Dunga
Captain: Lucio
World Cup Appearances: 19
World Cup Winners: 1958, 1962, 1970, 1994, 2002
Brazil, no matter the year, always seems to be one of if not the favorite to win. Brazil will look to win their 6th World Cup in South Africa. Coach Dunga has opted to take less of a showy squad but one of hard work and defense. Kaka, after struggling at Real Madrid for much of the season has claimed he will be ready 100%. Playmaker Ronaldihno of course, has been left out.
Brazil is the only team to have played in all 19 tournaments. Pelé, who played in 4 World Cups, remains the only player to win 3.
Roster:
Goalkeepers: Julio Cesar (Inter Milan), Doni (AS Roma), Gomes (Tottenham Hotspur)
Defenders: Maicon (Inter Milan), Daniel Alves (Barcelona), Michel Bastos (Olympique Lyon), Gilberto (Cruzeiro), Lucio (Inter Milan), Juan (AS Roma), Luisao (Benfica), Thiago Silva (AC Milan)
Midfielders: Gilberto Silva (Panathinaikos), Felipe Melo (Juventus), Ramires (Benfica), Elano (Galatasaray), Kaka (Real Madrid), Julio Baptista (Roma), Kleberson (Flamengo), Josue (VfL Wolfsburg).
Forwards: Robinho (Santos), Luis Fabiano (Sevilla), Nilmar (Villarreal), Grafite (VfL Wolfsburg).

Prediction:
Regardless of being put in such a strong group, look for Brazil to win Group G. Luis Fabiano will continue leading the goal count. Post Group Stage chances are strong and very likely. A final versus Spain could be the dream game to watch.

if you had to start a team with one player, who do you choose, kaka or ronaldo (assuming messi would be #1 choice)? Ill take kaka all day.
I think Kaka is the best player in the world other than Messi. this defensive minded team is going to be interesting to watch. “The Sergeant” Dunga very much so made a team in his mold.
