The England Euro 2012 Umbro Kit
Published by adam | Filed under Football (aka soccer), Kits

I typically like the kits, but this one is a bit too fruity. If this colorful scheme is going to set a trend, to make matters worse, Umbro has signed a contract with the FA that extends until 2018. I mean, the multi-colored crosses on the shoulder/ back (see below) must be a joke, right? The kit goes on sale October 12th. To see the kit in action, tune in tomorrow as England take on Bulgaria at Wembley. The blue shorts however, are back and could actually be nice.

This is direct from the Umbro site.
“Players names will appear within the fabric, to underline how they’re a part of the fabric of modern England. The shirt itself is inspired by the formal designs in England’s past, combined with the latest in design innovation.”
Deep.
Pictured are the following:
Top row: Joe Hart, Adam Johnson, Eric Dier, Jade Bailey, Saido Berahino, and Thomas Cruise
Bottom row: Jack Wilshere, Fern Whelan, Wayne Rooney, Connor Wickham, and Theo Walcott
Jade Bailey, by the way, is one of the most promising prospects in the England Women’s team, and Eric Dier is an up and coming English teenager playing with Sporting Lisbon in Portugal. All of this is of course, according to Umbro.
