9/7 20:30 CET Finland vs Netherlands – Odds | Stats
2010 World Cup runners-up will host Finland at the Rotterdam Stadion Feijenoord where they have an excellent home record. Finland is coming off being upset by Moldova and hopes are already slim when you have the Oranje in your way.
Netherlands:
Netherlands have started their Euro 2012 campaign off on the right foot having dismantled San Marino 5-0 in Serravalle, where Klaas-Jon Huntelaar netted a hat trick. Ruud van Nistelrooy made his international comeback and was able to score a last gasp effort. In the absence of Robin van Persie, Nistelrooy, who hasn’t played for the Netherlands since 2008, has spoken out that he will prove his worth for the Dutch. Dirk Kuyt continues to play well for the Oranje. Striker van Persie and winger Arjen Robben are still on the injured list, but manager Bert van Marwijk has plenty of talent to fill in for them.
Finland:
Finland, after losing 2-0 to Moldova in Chisinau has little to look forward to as they travel to Rotterdam. Former Liverpool defender Sami Hyypiä will not feature as he picked up a 36th minute straight red card in Finland’s 2-0 loss to Moldova. The Dutch, Sweden, and Moldova all picked up maximum points from matchday 1, so it will take a lot to turn around manager Stuart Baxter and company’s worst start imaginable.

Prediction:
This one is easy. The Netherlands, sorry to say are on another level of football. Although we have seen that anything can happen in the world of sport, Finland has no chance. Look for the Dutch to topple Finland and top Group E in typical Oranje style.
Pick:
Netherlands 3 – 0 Finland
