12/18 19:45 GMT AC Milan vs Roma – Odds | Stats
Italian superpowers do battle Saturday night as AC Milan hosts Roma in San Siro. The Rossoneri of AC Milan are table leaders with 36 points while Roma lie in 6th position with 26. Manager Massimiliano Allegri’s first season with Milan has thus far proved successful. Can Milan continue to impress?
AC Milan:
Atop of the tables with 6 points to spare, AC Milan are looking like a born again team this season. Milan are also celebrating a birth into the Champions League knockout stages. New signee Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been extremely impressive as of late and looks like he has finally found a home. Ibra has already recorded 9 goals and 7 assists in his 2010 Serie A campaign. Zambrotta, Flamini, Thiago Silva, and star Alexandre Pato are all out of the lineup. Filippo Inzaghi is out for the season. Milan’s main problem therefore, is with injuries.
Roma:
Manager Claudio Ranieri is urging La Magica to win, stating that a win in San Siro would make the league much more interesting. Ranieri will do well to remind the Giallorossi that they have won the last 2 of 3 meetings in San Siro. Marco Borriello knows San Siro all too well and will love nothing more than to stick it to his former club. The on loan striker has already notched 6 for his new squad. Capitano Francesco Totti will need a good game as well for Roma to succeed against Milan. Roma is without Julio Sergio, Bogdan Lobont, and Mirko Vucinic are sidelined and will not feature on Saturday. Brazilian Alexander Doni will start as keeper.

Prediction:
Roma, after beating Lazio and Inter Milan this season, can never be counted out. Milan, although with a minor injury crisis, are in top form. If Ibra plays well and has a good game, expect magic.
Pick:
AC Milan 2 – 1 Roma
December 17th, 2010
