Animation of El Clásico: Barcelona vs Real Madrid

Really nice piece of artwork by Richard Swarbrick, the creator of the animation of Gareth Bale’s comeback against Inter earlier this year (see below). Sorry Real fans, but this is great. Barca stomped Real 5-0 back in league play and added a bit more last night in their 2-0 Champions League first leg win at the Bernabeu. Okay okay, Real won the cup, but lets look at the bigger picture. Looking forward to more Richard.
It will be hard to forget Gareth Bale’s performance against Inter Milan in this year’s Champions League play. Bale’s late hat trick gave the visitors a chance in the second leg where his pace helped Tottenham to a historical 3-1 win over Inter at home. Here is the video…

Taking into account the latest performances for both clubs Real Madrid have a upper hand and Barcelona is on a big disadvantage if they can’t play without Pique or Xavi. Real Madrid should be able to win this if they continue their performances. But I can’t imagine seeing many goals in these kinds of encounters.
