Prepare yourselves as the might of Barcelona travel to Wembley to take on the Red Devils of Manchester United in the much anticipated Champions League Final. So anticipated, Uefa has titled the match the biggest in history. The fact that the fixture was moved from its traditional midweek evening to Saturday night primetime TV might have something to do with that. Financially, the game is more expensive than any other as ticket prices at Wembley hit an all-time high of £300 per seat.
Nonetheless, if there is any team on the planet that can disrupt the plans of Pep Guardiola, it is United. Sir Alex Ferguson, however, will have his hands full with the Barcelona attacking onslaught. As the rematch of 2009 Champions League Finals, this one has it all.
Barcelona:
Barcelona will play as they have all season. Possession and attacking football simply put, works for the boys of Catalan. Messi will need to have a good game while Xavi needs to hold the tempo for Barca to win. Messi has found the net 11 times in 12 Champions League appearances this season. Barcelona have contested six Champions League finals, winning three and losing three (first at Wembley in 1992). The Catalans won their last two, both against English opposition, beating Arsenal in 2006 and Manchester United 2-0 in 2009.
Champions of three straight Spainish titles, Barcelona is on the verge of being labeled the greatest team in history.
Manchester United:
Ferguson has quite a test in this one. Rumors abound that Fergie will start his XI that beat Schalke 2-0 in the first leg of the Champions League semi-finals. That means Edwin van der Sar in goal, Fabio, Ferdinand, Vidic and Evra across the back, Ryan Giggs and Michael Carrick in the middle, Antonio Valencia (right), Park (left) with Wayne Rooney and Javier Hernandez up top.
Hernandez has kept his head in every match so far and will likely do the same in this one, no matter the pressure. He certainly deserves a start after the season he has had. Other options put Andersson in the middle, to disrupt possession in the center of the park. United will look to counter attack and make runs down the flank through the speed of Valencia. Park, who always seems to come up big in big games, will have a time chasing Alves down the length of the pitch. Nani is never a bad choice and could easily start or be substituted. As Edwin van der Sar’s last game with United, a win would be the perfect send off for such an outstanding and decorated player.

Prediction:
The double is on the line for both sides. Whoever keeps their heads and makes the fewest mistakes will win. Despite the match in Wembley, Barca is just too strong. Barca wins and ends the dispute of the greatest club of all-time.
Pick:
Manchester United 1 – 2 Barcelona

50 50 I say, Barca is the better team passing, but with J Park and Anderson in the mid will put a lot of pressure. Most teams that have scored on Barca have been on rushing attacks right after defending and this is what Man U do best. Plus it also helps that they will be playing in England, a big advantage for Man U. If they where playing in another country I would say 60-40 in favor of Barca.

GO BARCA!!! We all know they are the better team. As long as they play their game, it’s not a contest. Though I have to say, I have a feeling van der sar will have a game of his life….
