Cesc Fabregas completes £35m move to Barcelona
Published by adam | Filed under Arsenal, Barcelona, Transfer Rumors

The Fabregas transfer saga has finally come to an end as Cesc completes a 5-year £35m switch to the club of his youth. The transfer seems to be in good time for Fabregas as he has the chance to finally win a trophy in his debut with Barcelona. The sad thing is that Fab will likely spend most of the coming years with the Catalans on the bench.
Cesc did come up through the ranks of Barcelona’s La Masia youth academy so it was only a matter of time before the Arsenal captain came home. The Gunners did however, release Fabregas to Barcelona on the cheap. This is what Arsene Wenger had to say…
“We sold Cesc for a reduced fee. If you can make an auction between Real Madrid, Chelsea and Manchester City, you will certainly get more money, but he just wanted to go to Barcelona…
Cesc went because he was desperate to play for his home town at a club where his grandfather was a member of the committee. It’s not a financial affair but one of the heart.”
Arsenal will get £14.5m immediately and the same in October, but, according to this photo, he was stolen during the London Riots.
