The Chiefs are once again one of the league’s top teams, and their odds for tonight’s games show that. Bookmakers believe they will make short work of the lowly Broncos, leading to one of the biggest spreads of the weekend.
Team | Spread | Money Line | Over/Under |
Denver Broncos | +10.5 (-110) | +425 | Over 47 (-110) |
Kansas City Chiefs | -10.5 (-110) | -600 | Under 47 (-110) |
The Denver Broncos may be the worst team in football. Their one win came thanks to a massive fourth-quarter comeback against a bad Bears team, and their 70-point beatdown at the hands of the Dolphins was one for the history books. This team has some talent on both sides of the ball, but it has not translated to winning.
The biggest concern coming into this game is Denver’s defense. They allowed Zach Wilson and the Jets to score 31 points last week and will face a much tougher test in Kansas City tonight. Given their recent play and the fact that they will be playing at Arrowhead, it’s hard to see them keeping this game close.
While the Chiefs have been great, tight end Travis Kelce has not looked like the elite pass catcher he has been over the last few seasons. Kansas City has had some other playmakers step up in his place, including running back Isiah Pacheco, who is averaging 4.6 yards per carry. The second-year back continues to impress, and he is giving Kansas City a good balance for their elite passing attack.
On defense, the Chiefs rank among the best in the league. They are allowing the sixth-fewest points per game (16.0), led by defensive tackle Chris Jones. The veteran is off to another quick start, and you can expect him to spend plenty of time in Denver’s backfield tonight.
