The Jets enter Sunday’s game as a slight favorite, as Caesars predicts a low-scoring win for the embattled AFC team.
|New York Jets||-3 (+100)||-155||Over 36.5 (-110)|
|New York Giants||-+3 (-120)||+130||Under 36.5 (-110)|
Things have been turning around for the Jets over the last three weeks. After losing a 23-20 heartbreaker to the Chiefs in Week 4, New York went on to win their next two games. That included a massive upset of the Eagles in Week 6. They were on a bye last week, meaning they will be rested and ready for this Giants team.
We know the Jets’ defense is elite, but their offense has been an issue. Breece Hall is turning into a great running back, and now quarterback Zach Wilson is settling in. The BYU product will never be great, but he has been better at sustaining drives and limiting turnovers. That is all the Jets need, given their impressive defense, and it has led to two straight wins.
The Giants are the worst team here, but they also have been turning things around of late. They came within five points of an upset win on the road in Buffalo but managed a 14-7 win against Washington the following week. Their defense has come alive, which is bad news for an already shaky Jets offense.
The problem for the Giants is on offense. Daniel Jones is out, meaning Tyrod Taylor will once again be getting the start. While Saquon Barkley has returned, he is questionable to play this weekend as he struggles to get back to full health. We saw the offense's struggles on full display last week as they managed just 14 points against a very bad Commanders’ defense. Given how much better the Jets’ defense is, we expect to see seven or fewer points from this offense.
We will be locking in the Jets -3 and hammering the under for this highly-anticipated matchup.
Sports betting can be a fun and occasionally profitable experience, but only if you practice responsible gambling.
Before you start betting, we recommend setting a firm budget for how much you can wager per day or week. Be sure to set it based on the assumption that all of your bets lose, preparing you for the worst-case scenario.
Using a prepaid card or similar option to fund your account is an excellent option for sports betting. This will ensure you are not directly pulling from your bank account, protecting you from burning through your bankroll and dealing with overdraft fees.
If you are struggling with your gambling, Caesars has a lot of resources to help. You can visit their Responsible Gaming page for tips and tricks, resources, and access to the self-exclusion list.
