The American League Championship Series features the Houston Astros and Texas Rangers. Both teams are playing very well heading into the ALCS. The Rangers dominated the Orioles, and the Astros did the same to the Twins in the Division Series.
This series is going to come down to the offenses. Both teams have the pop to score many runs, and the winner of this series will be able to answer with home runs.
Look for Adolis Garcia of the Rangers and Yordan Alvarez for the Astros to shine throughout the ALCS. These two lead their teams in homers and have been hot throughout the postseason.
Corey Seager is the other player to watch for Texas. He was quietly one of the best players in baseball this season and the team leader in the ALDS vs Baltimore.
The NLCS should go in favor of the Phillies. Philadelphia will face Arizona, and the Diamondbacks are an inferior team. They beat the Dodgers in the NLDS, but a seven-game series isn’t in their favor.
Arizona has excellent pitching, and their offense has come alive at the right time. However, the same can be said about Philadelphia; their team is more talented, one through nine.
Bryce Harper is the player to watch for the entire series. He sets the tone for Philadelphia with his .293/.401/.499 slash line. Harper and Nick Castellanos have been the catalysts for the team’s success, and we don’t see this stopping in the NLCS.
