FanDuel Virginia vs Louisville Odds

The Cardinals are 8-1 on the season and 5-1 in ACC play after blowing out their last two opponents. With wins in their final two conference games, the Cards can guarantee a spot in the ACC Championship Game for the first time. On the other side, Virginia is 2-7 and already eliminated from bowl contention. However, the Cavaliers did pull off an upset over a ranked North Carolina team on the road last month.

Here are the odds FanDuel is offering for Thursday’s game.

Team Moneyline Spread Over/Under
Virginia +890 +20.5 (-110) Over 50.5 (-110)
Louisville -1700 -20.5 (-110) Under 50.5 (-110)

Virginia vs Louisville Betting Tips

The Cardinals are arguably the hottest team in college football right now. Despite a puzzling and disappointing loss to Pitt last month, Louisville has responded with back-to-back wins over Duke and Virginia Tech, outscoring those teams by a combined 57-3. The backfield tandem of Jawhar Jordan and Isaac Guerendo has been one of the best in the ACC all season while quarterback Jack Plummer has been steady all season. But the Louisville defense has been instrumental in leading the Cards to comfortable wins. As a result, Louisville’s last four home games have been won by an average margin of 23.8 points.

Needless to say, that creates a huge test for a 2-7 Virginia team that’s experiencing a down season and knows it won’t be playing in a bowl game. To their credit, the Cavs have been competitive in games this season. Four of their seven losses have come by three points or less while the Cavs also have a stunning upset over North Carolina on their resume.

However, a 45-17 home loss to Georgia Tech last week was a bad sign. Plus, most of Virginia’s close losses came against teams nowhere near as good as Louisville. With Virginia ranking near the bottom nationally in points allowed, the Cardinals have an excellent chance to cover the 20.5-point spread while a Louisville win straight-up is a virtual lock, making it easy for Kentucky bettors to collect their $150 in bonus bets from FanDuel.
