Top Picks for the 2020 PGA Championship

Rory McIlroy

A two-time PGA Championship winner, McIlroy finished inside the top 10 last year, tied for eighth place.

More importantly, the world number 1 won the most recent PGA Tour event played at TPC Harding Park.

While the Northern Irishman won a match play event back in 2015, it could offer him a small advantage.

McIlroy is playing his best golf at the moment, reclaiming the top of the World Golf Ranking for the first time since 2015.

He has not missed out on the top 5 once in six PGA Tour events played this season.

Brooks Koepka

Koepka struggled on his return from a knee injury, failing to make the cut twice and posting the best result of T43.

Prior to that, however, the former world number 1 had been the man to beat on the Tour.

Koepka has four major wins in the last three years, including back-to-back PGA Championship titles in 2018 and 2019.

The reigning champion will have more time to recover following the event’s postponement.

Koepka finished tied for 17th in his only tournament played at TPC Harding Park.

Adam Scott

Scott finished the last two editions of the PGA Championship inside the top 10, with a career-best third in 2018.

The 2013 Masters champion scored top 10 results in two of the four majors last year.

Scott already has one win this season, taking home the Genesis Invitational in February.

Thomas led the FedEx Cup points standings right until the Arnold Invitational.

The 2017 PGA Championship winner enjoyed a very good start to the 2019-20 season.

Thomas won the CJ Cup and the Sentry Tournament of Champions.

He currently has six top 10 results in eight PGA Tour events this season.
