A.J. Allmendinger +1100
Harrison Burton +1200

Jeb Burton +5000
Michael Annett +6000
Brett Moffitt +6000

In last weekend’s NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Daytona International Speedway, our definitive pick, Justin Haley, took the checkered flag and locked himself into the Playoff.

With Daniel Hemric and Harrison Burton earning Playoff spots on points in the same race, seven of the 12 postseason berths are now filled.

As soon as he takes the green flag on Saturday, early-season race winner Myatt Snider will claim the eighth Playoff spot with an unassailable position inside the top 20 in the series standings.

That will leave four spots open for a potential first-time winner this season. Saturday’s event, whose full name is the Sport Clips Haircuts VFW Help a Hero 200, will be contested over 147 laps (200.1 miles), with stage breaks scheduled after 45 and 90 laps.

Denny Hamlin Is the Ringer Who’s Most Likely to Spoil the Xfinity Party

Standing in the way of the NASCAR Xfinity Series regulars is pre-race favorite Denny Hamlin, who has won five times in 13 starts at Darlington Raceway.

Hamlin’s record at the Track Too Tough to Tame is truly remarkable. He has posted 10 top-five results and an average finish of 5.6. The record would be even better if a disqualification for a ride-height infraction hadn’t deprived him of a sixth win in 2019.

Consider also Hamlin’s record in the NASCAR Cup Series, where he has won three times in 18 Darlington starts—including once last year—and has finished in the top 10 on 14 occasions.

On Saturday, Hamlin is making an infrequent start in the No. 54 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota, which has won nine races this season with Kyle Busch, Ty Gibbs, and Christopher Bell sharing duties behind the wheel.

We expect Hamlin to get the 10th win in that car and advise a bet on him, even though the payoff is a puny +120 via DraftKings Sportsbook.

Justin Allgaier and Brandon Jones Are the Top Xfinity Regulars

Justin Allgaier triumphed at Darlington in May of this year. Brandon Jones won last year’s second race at the Lady in Black. Aside from Hamlin, they’re the only two former Darlington winners in the field for Saturday’s Sport Clips Haircuts 200.

Allgaier and Jones have gone in opposite directions this season. Allgaier is comfortably in the Playoff with two victories and an average finish of 11.2.

Jones, on the other hand, is winless this season and is still seeking a Playoff berth. He has posted eight top-fives in 23 races and has struggled to an average finish of 18.4. He has suffered four DNFs (did not finish) in his last six starts.

Not surprisingly, we like Allgaier (+700) to win Saturday’s race, if Hamlin doesn’t. But we also like Jones, who has finished first and third in his last two Darlington races, to challenge for a top-five finish (+200).

Tyler Reddick Is a Driver to Watch in His Warmup for the Cup Series Playoff

Denny Hamlin isn’t the only NASCAR Cup Series driver pulling double duty at the Track Too Tough to Tame.

Tyler Reddick, who secured the final spot in the Cup Playoffs with a fifth-place run at Daytona last weekend, is using the Xfinity race as a warmup for the Cup Playoff opener on Sunday.

Reddick loves to run the wall, and at Darlington, the high line is the fastest way around the 1.366-mile track. In his last two Xfinity starts at the Lady in Black, he has posted a third and a second.

So don’t discount Reddick’s chances in the No. 23 Our Motorsports Chevrolet. He’s worth a shot to win at long odds (+2200) and a good bet to finish in the top three at +700, via DraftKings Sportsbook.
