Who Has the Best Odds to win the 2022 ACC Tournament?

According to FanDuel, as of December 20th, the Duke Blue Devils have the best odds to be the ACC Tournament Champions. Duke has -125 odds to win the tournament and is currently ranked 8th in the nation. They are led by freshman sensation Paolo Banchero. Banchero could be the 1st pick in the 2022 NBA Draft and is in the running to win the John Wooden award.

After Duke, the UNC Tar Heels have the second-best odds to win the ACC Tournament at +650. UNC is unranked and sitting at 11-4 right now. They have played well against unranked opponents, but they are yet to beat a ranked opponent. Three of their four losses have come against ranked teams.

After Duke and UNC, Louisville, Florida State, and Virginia Tech have the best odds at +850, +1100, and +1500. None of these teams are ranked but they are having good seasons. It is worth noting that Miami has +5000 odds to win the ACC tournament but is currently ranked 1st in the ACC after beating Duke 76-74. It is unlikely that they will continue to consistently win games against top opponents for the rest of the season, but they are playing very well now.

2022 ACC Tournament Predictions

I have to go with the safe choice to win the ACC Tournament. That safe choice is Duke. Duke is not only having a solid season this year, but they are one of the most historically dominant college basketball programs of all time. Even though they are not sitting in 1st place in their conference right now, I expect them to be soon. The Blue Devils will also win the regular-season conference title.

Although I expect Duke the win the ACC Tournament, I also expect Miami and UNC to give them a run for their money. It will be interesting to see these two teams make life complicated for the Blue Devils this season.

The ACC is not particularly talented this year. Usually, they are one of the strongest basketball conferences, but this appears to be an off-year. With that being said, there are still a few ACC teams worthy of making the NCAA Tournament. Those teams are Duke, Miami, UNC, and Louisville.
