After being linked to several different locations including Florida, England, and even Russia, the August 3 UFC on ESPN: Covington vs Lawler card will officially be hosted in Newark, New Jersey at the Prudential Center. The main event puts former interim welterweight champion Colby “Chaos” Covington against the former undisputed welterweight champion, “Ruthless” Robbie Lawler. The original co-main event between light heavyweights Volkan Oezdemir and Ilir Latifi has been cancelled due to Oezdimir’s visa issues and has been replaced by what should be an incredibly fast-based lightweight battle between UFC veterans Jim Miller and Clay Guida.
