The World Sports Network's Editorial Principles

The World Sports Network relies on a team of contributors and permanent staff for the content it makes available daily to its visitors.

With such a diverse and remote team, closely adhering to a set of editorial principles is paramount for ensuring quality and the continued satisfaction of our readers. Below you can read about the various policies that inform all our publishing activities.

Quick Navigation

Our Ethics Policy

The World Sports Network, also known as WSN, is fully committed to providing coverage of sporting events and current affairs, as well as articles expressing the personal opinions of its writers, based on the following criteria:

  • Fairness
  • Transparency
  • Independence
  • Truth and accuracy
  • Impartiality
  • Accountability

We are aware of the fact that most stories have at least two sides and it is our responsibility to acknowledge and convey these divergent views in the content we publish. A balanced approach is our guiding principle.

In both commercial and non-commercial content, we are dedicated to being fully independent and impartial, never acting on behalf of any special interests.

We are transparent with our readers when it comes to any commercial relationships that may influence our content. This is evident in the advertising disclosure that is displayed on every page on our site.

Our Corrections Policy

While we strive for 100% accuracy in our reporting, unintentional errors may occur from time to time. Visitors and readers have several ways of getting in touch with the World Sports Network in order to report these errors and/or omissions.

They can make use of a contact form, email us directly at [email protected] or leave a comment via a comment form that is available at the bottom of most articles.

As soon as we receive a notification about an error or an omission, our editorial team performs a fact-checking exercise to review the veracity of the feedback received. If the feedback turns out to be valid, we will immediately correct the mistake on our website. We will also reply to the party who submitted the feedback acknowledging our mistake and providing proof of the correction made.

Our Diversity Policy

At the World Sports Network we recognize that in order to be impartial, fair and balanced, we must be fully inclusive. People’s views can be influenced by race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, social class, age, and other factors.

We strive to be as inclusive as possible by taking into account all of the above factors not only when choosing our contributors, but also in the editorial guidelines we provide to all of our writers.

Our parent organization, Gaming Innovation Group, currently employs staff from over 40 different countries, reflecting its commitment and dedication to diversity.

Editorial Independence

While the World Sports Network nurtures commercial partnerships with various entities whose products it promotes on its website, this does not influence our editorial principles.

Our writers and staff do not receive gifts or monetary compensation in exchange for writing favorably about any third parties.

In our reviews of products and services, we are guided by the need of the consumer to receive accurate and useful information that will help them make an informed decision.

Feedback

We invite our readers and the general public to send us feedback on the stories and ideas covered in our content. We also welcome feedback related to new content that we have not yet covered.

This feedback will ultimately help us improve our content offering and expand our readership.

If you have any questions, comments or suggestions, please send us an email at [email protected] and we will get back to you within 24 hours.
