How Underdog Pick'em Works

Underdog Pick'em is a daily fantasy contest structure where you evaluate individual player statistical metrics rather than managing a full roster draft budget.

How to Play

To enter a Pick'em contest, select between 2 and 8 player stat targets across any sport or team. For each selection, decide whether the player will finish Higher or Lower than their projected stat line.

• 2-Pick Entry Standard Payout: A correct 2-pick entry typically pays 3× your entry amount.

• Flex Options: Larger entries (3+ picks) offer Flex Options, allowing you to win a reduced payout even if one selection fails. Standard "All-In" entries require every pick to hit for maximum return.

Worked Example:

Imagine building a 2-pick entry for tonight's game:

1. Selection 1: Auston Matthews (Toronto Maple Leafs) - Higher than 3.5 Shots on Goal

2. Selection 2: Jack Eichel (Vegas Golden Knights) - Higher than 0.5 Assists

If you put down a $10 entry on this 2-pick entry and both Matthews records 4+ shots and Eichel records at least 1 assist, your entry returns 30 ($10 entry × 3 payout multiplier, yielding $20 net profit).

Maple Leafs vs. Golden Knights - Players in the Spotlight

Tonight’s contest features high-octane offensive weapons on both sides of the ice. Here is a look at the key skaters driving the action for Toronto and Vegas:

Toronto Maple Leafs

• William Nylander (RW): Nylander has been one of Toronto's sharpest offensive focal points to start the month, posting 6 points (3 goals, 3 assists) through 4 games. Coming off a 3-point performance in Tuesday's overtime victory over Nashville, he remains a main generator on Toronto's primary power-play unit.
• Auston Matthews (C): Matthews leads the Leafs with 3 assists and 14 total shots through 4 games. He consistently posts heavy shot volume, making his offensive stat lines a central focus whenever Toronto plays on the road.
• Morgan Rielly (D): Rielly continues to quarterback the top power-play group, accumulating 3 assists early in the campaign. His ice-time distribution makes him a key distributor to watch against Vegas' defense.

Vegas Golden Knights

• Jack Eichel (C): Eichel has set the standard for Vegas' top line early on, posting 10 points (2 goals, 8 assists) through 4 contests. His elite transition play and setup work make his assist numbers prominent in fantasy picks.
• Victor Olofsson (LW): Providing dynamic secondary scoring, Olofsson leads the Golden Knights with 4 goals through the first week of play, showing efficiency on limited shot attempts.
• Tomas Hertl (C): Fresh off a multi-goal performance, Hertl has brought physical net-front presence and power-play utility to the middle of the Knights' forward group.
