How Underdog Pick'em Works

Underdog Pick'em allows fans to build entry slips by combining player stat projections across various sports, including NHL skater and goalie metrics. Instead of drafting a full daily lineup against a salary cap, you evaluate individual player projections and select whether the player will finish More or Less than their listed number.

Rules & Mechanics

• Entry Selection: You must combine between 2 and 8 player stat projections from at least two different teams on a single slip.

• Standard Entries: Require every pick to hit ("Flex" entries allow partial payouts if one leg misses, offering scaled multiplier safety).

• Payout Multipliers: A standard 2-pick entry that hits pays 3× your entry fee. As you add more legs to your slip, the potential payout multiplier increases significantly: 2 Picks: 3×, 3 Picks: 6×, 4 Picks: 10×, 5 Picks: 20×

Worked Example: Predators vs. Maple Leafs Slip

Imagine building a 2-pick standard Pick'em entry for tonight's game:

1. Auston Matthews (TOR): More than 4.5 Shots on Goal

2. Filip Forsberg (NSH): More than 0.5 Points

If you put a $20 entry on this 2-pick combination and both outcomes occur, the slip pays out 3× your money returning $60 total ($40 net profit).

Predators vs. Maple Leafs - Players in the Spotlight

Toronto Maple Leafs

• Auston Matthews: Toronto's elite sniper remains the central focus of the offense. Matthews consistently generates high shot volume, frequently putting up 5+ shots on goal while serving as the primary anchor on the first power-play unit.
• William Nylander: Nylander provides rapid zone entries and elite playmaking from the wing. His multi-point upside makes him a key focus in offensive projection categories.
• Mitch Marner: As one of the premier dishmen in the NHL, Marner’s assist metrics are a prime focal point whenever the Leafs play on home ice at Scotiabank Arena.

Nashville Predators

• Filip Forsberg: The focal point of Nashville’s attack, Forsberg carries heavy minutes on the top line and power play. He frequently logs high shot totals and points against high-tempo Eastern Conference opponents.
• Steven Stamkos: The veteran sniper adds firepower to Nashville's power-play setup, making his goal and power-play point totals focal points in any matchup.
• Juuse Saros: Nashville’s netminder often sees high shot volume when facing top-tier offensive teams like Toronto, making his save totals a key statistical focal point.
