England aims to secure its place in the round of 16 at the expense of DR Congo.
There were ups and downs in England’s group stage. It began its campaign with a 4-2 victory over Croatia in which Thomas Tuchel’s team made a sloppy start, before an intense spell in the second half allowed it to take the game away from its opponent. A dull and uninspiring 0-0 tie with Ghana followed, before England huffed and puffed on their way to a 2-0 defeat of Panama.
On the whole, expectations have suffered a slight dent since the start of the tournament, but nothing is ever decided in the group stage. England fulfilled its remit by topping its section, and it did so without losing a game. Only Mexico, Argentina and Spain collected more points from their first three outings in North America.
There is clearly room for improvement, though, and it is notable that England has yet to win a first half at this World Cup. Against Croatia, Ghana and Panama, the score was level at half-time.
There is a good chance the same thing will happen today, with DR Congo successfully holding both Portugal and Colombia level in the first 45 minutes of its group games against those opponents. Select a tie at half-time, which can be bought for $0.38 on Polymarket.

Ask any England supporter who its best player has been so far and you will only get one answer. Jude Bellingham has undoubtedly been the standout performer for the Three Lions up to now, and the Real Madrid man is consequently the focus of our latest soccer player props odds pick.
It is strange to think now that there was debate over Bellingham’s spot on the England roster a few months ago. Now he is the first name on Thomas Tuchel’s team sheet. Bellingham has an elite mentality which allows him to grab hold of any game when his team needs someone to step up.
He did that in the second half against Croatia, scoring England’s pivotal third goal. He was also the driving force behind the eventual victory over Panama. Bellingham opened the scoring after a frustrating first hour for England, then set up Harry Kane’s headed goal with a wonderful cross from the left.
Bellingham has the drive, determination and all-round talent to continue shining for England. If Tuchel’s side needs a goal at any point today, do not be surprised if Bellingham is at the heart of those efforts. Tip the Real Madrid midfielder to score any time at $0.25 on Polymarket.

Belgium and Senegal go head-to-head in the round of 32 at World Cup 2026.
We continue our selection of daily World Cup team props with a choice from Belgium vs Senegal, which looks like one of the most evenly matched ties of the round of 32. Belgium struggled to break down both Egypt and Iran in the group phase, tying both matches, but it hit its stride in a 5-1 triumph over New Zealand last time out.
Senegal also had to wait until matchday three for its first win of the tournament. Having lost to France (1-3) and Norway (2-3) in its first two games, Pape Thiaw’s side knew it had to register a handsome victory over Iraq to keep it in contention for a spot in the knockout phase. That is exactly what Senegal did, winning 5-0 to advance as one of the best third-place finishers.
Senegal scored in every group game, while Belgium only drew a blank against Iran. With Leandro Trossard, Kevin De Bruyne, Jeremy Doku and Romelu Lukaku among its offensive options, Belgium will cause Senegal’s backline problems here. The same is true at the other end, especially with Ismaila Sarr in such good form. Buy both teams to score for $0.52 on Polymarket.

The USA continues its World Cup adventure against Bosnia & Herzegovina today.
The USA wrapped up qualification for the knockout phase with a game to spare courtesy of victories over Paraguay (4-1) and Australia (2-0). That allowed Mauricio Pochettino to rotate some of his key players against Turkey, which is why we should not read too much into the USMNT’s 3-2 defeat in its most recent encounter.
Bosnia & Herzegovina was one of eight third-place finishers to make it through to the round of 32. Sergej Barbarez’s boys held Canada to a 1-1 tie on matchday one, after which it bounced back from a 4-1 loss to Switzerland to beat Qatar 3-1. This is its first ever appearance in the knockout phase, so Bosnia & Herzegovina has nothing to lose from here.
Indeed, the pressure is entirely on the USA and it will be fascinating to see how the players handle that. On the plus side, Pochettino’s team has experience of breaking down deep defenses, as it did in that thumping win against Paraguay. Bosnia & Herzegovina will use a similar strategy too.
The USA will have lots of the ball high up the pitch, which increases the chances of the co-host getting plenty of set-pieces. We recommend over 8.5 corners at $0.59 at Polymarket, a prediction which was successful in the USA’s last two games.
