DraftKings Announces New “DraftKings Gameday” Promotion
DraftKings is celebrating the start of the football season in style.
The sports betting leader has announced a new “DraftKings Gameday” promotion to kick off the NFL and NCAA seasons. It will take place on Wednesday, September 2, and feature exclusive promotions and giveaways for DraftKings Sportsbook, Casino, and Predictions.
It's also offering free gas at select stations in Los Angeles, Miami, Dallas, Atlanta, and Detroit for a limited time. However, details on where and when this will be available have yet to be released.
“The start of football season is one of the most exciting times of year at DraftKings, and 2026 marks a major milestone for our company,” said Stephanie Sherman, Chief Marketing Officer at DraftKings. “This is our first football season with DraftKings Sports available to fans nationwide, and Gameday is our way of kicking off the season and celebrating our customers by bringing together exclusive offerings, giveaways, and unforgettable experiences across the country.”
In addition to the exclusive promo, DraftKings will also be donating $50,000 to the nonprofit group “Disabled American Veterans.” The donation is meant to help fund the group’s free ride service, which helps veterans get to VA medical facilities.
Focus On Predictions
While DraftKings is promoting three of its platforms on Wednesday, the main focus will be on sports prediction markets. The operator has already begun marketing the offering in states without legal sports betting, including California and Texas.
The promo’s “Take Your Game Anywhere” campaign aims to do that using Kevin Hart and Nick Jonas. The duo will be featured in ads showing their road trip across the US and how they can use the DraftKings app nationwide.
The campaign will show players in non-betting states how they can bet on sports using DraftKings Prediction. It will also highlight its all-in-one app, which makes it easy to switch between platforms available in a player’s location.
