NBA Player Props and Best Bets: Victor Wembanyama, Nikola Jokic & More Picks for Wednesday, April 1
The NBA is back to break the midweek monotony, and I’ve picked my best player props from around the league.
Luka Doncic continued to sizzle in last night’s blowout victory for the Los Angeles Lakers against the Cleveland Cavaliers, pouring in 42 points and 12 assists to elevate his MVP campaign. Jalen Duren also scored 31 points on 92.3 percent shooting as the Detroit Pistons took down the Toronto Raptors.
Tonight’s slate of games is headlined by the San Antonio Spurs visiting the Golden State Warriors, as well as the Miami Heat hosting the Boston Celtics.
Here are my top NBA player prop picks and bets for Wednesday, April 1.

Jalen Suggs Under 15.5 Points (-136) at FanDuel Sportsbook
Suggs’ scoring numbers went down year-over-year, despite him shooting the ball more efficiently from the field. He sits at 13.8 points per game and went under this number in seven of his last eight contests, including an eight-point showing against these same Atlanta Hawks on March 16.
The Hawks began the year by dramatically underperforming relative to their expectations and ability on the defensive end. They completely turned that around during a 16-2 straight-up run, ranking in the top 10 in points allowed per game and playing much better overall.

Bam Adebayo Under 10.5 Rebounds (-125) at FanDuel Sportsbook
Adebayo snatched 16 rebounds in two of his last three games and went over in four of his last six, headlined by a 21-rebound performance against the Houston Rockets. Despite that, he averaged 10.0 rebounds per game for the year, went under in nine of 14 games in March, and also cashed the under in all three previous matchups with the Celtics.
Boston plays at an extremely slow pace, leading to fewer shot opportunities and creating fewer rebounding opportunities. Jayson Tatum has helped out on the boards, and I believe the C’s can hold him under this line.

Tre Jones Over 5.5 Assists (+104) at FanDuel Sportsbook
Jones is a natural playmaker more than he is a scorer, and he averaged 5.5 assists per game this season. He also went over in four of his last five outings, although he only had two dimes in 29 minutes in his last matchup with the Indiana Pacers.
The Duke product played close to 30 minutes per night in March, and although the Pacers were in the middle of the league in assists allowed over their last 15 contests, they also allowed the fifth-most average points during that span. The Bulls like to run and gun, and Jones should have opportunities to rack up assists.

Victor Wembanyama Over 3.5 Assists (+112) at FanDuel Sportsbook
Wemby might’ve only averaged 3.1 assists per game, but he went over this line in four of his last five games, and in all three previous matchups with the Warriors. For positive odds, that sounds like a pretty good deal to me.
The Warriors were right in the middle of the league in average assists allowed in March, but their defensive philosophy has clearly prioritized making Wemby a passer as opposed to a scorer (even though he also scored with ease). The Spurs are playing excellently on offense, and it shouldn’t be difficult for the French megastar to find open teammates.

Nikola Jokic Under 13.5 Rebounds (-128) at FanDuel Sportsbook
I’m sorry, but I am not willing to require Jokic to get at least 14 rebounds to cash my pick. He might’ve hit the over in five straight games and had 15 boards against the Utah Jazz last Friday, but I have my reasons…
Jokic went under in two of three games against the Jazz, and the spread on tonight’s game is set at 17 points. There’s a serious chance that this game ends in a blowout and Jokic doesn’t play his usual number of minutes, which would make it more difficult for him to hit the over.
