NBA Player Props and Best Bets: LeBron James, Victor Wembanyama & More Picks for Tuesday, April 21

After three straight winning days and finishing +6.3 units to start the NBA playoffs, I’m back with my top five NBA player props for Tuesday.

CJ McCollum took over in the fourth quarter to lead the Atlanta Hawks roaring back to beat the New York Knicks on the road, finishing with 32 points and six assists. Anthony Edwards also won the superstar battle with Nikola Jokic, going for 30 points and 10 rebounds as the Minnesota Timberwolves leveled the series with the Denver Nuggets at one apiece.

There are three games scheduled for today: the Philadelphia 76ers against the Boston Celtics, the Portland Trail Blazers versus the San Antonio Spurs, and the Los Angeles Lakers against the Houston Rockets.

These are my top NBA playoff player prop picks and bets for Tuesday, April 21.

Best NBA Player Props Today 2026 04 21

Andre Drummond Under 8.5 Rebounds (-154) at FanDuel Sportsbook

Joe Mazzulla is a master of manipulating space and assignment, memorably moving his players off the ball to position Kyrie Irving as the help-side low defender in the NBA Finals against the Dallas Mavericks. That kind of intelligence leads me to believe that he won’t let Drummond occupy his preferred position directly under the basket.

“The Big Penguin,” yes, that is his real nickname, had five rebounds in 21 minutes in the Game 1 blowout. He split the over/under with Boston during the regular season, although he played at least 32 minutes in both overs, and I can’t imagine a world in which he gets those same opportunities.

Jrue Holiday Over 4.5 Rebounds (+116) at FanDuel Sportsbook

Holiday had four rebounds in 36 minutes in Game 1 and averaged 4.6 rebounds for the year. He managed to reach 10 rebounds in his only regular-season matchup with the Spurs, which wasn’t that long ago on April 8.

The Trail Blazers have gotten better at rebounding as a team, although the Spurs are also excellent when it comes to controlling the glass. I believe that a point of emphasis for Portland will be cleaning up the boards whenever they can, and the experienced Holiday is smart enough to execute that game plan while playing heavy minutes.

Victor Wembanyama Under 28.5 Points (-128) at FanDuel Sportsbook

One of the reasons that the Spurs are such an excellent team is that they put constant strain on the defense, from Wemby’s overall excellence, to De’Aaron Fox’s drives, to Julian Champagnie’s quick-trigger threes, to Stephon Castle’s playmaking, and Devin Vassell’s constant itch to find a jump shot. That often leaves teams unable to send doubles, since they are inviting danger elsewhere on the court.

Wemby is more than capable of destroying single-coverage, just like he did in Game 1. However, he has plenty of talented teammates who will also find themselves in advantageous positions over the course of the season, and Wemby isn't a player who will consistently demand 20-25 shots per game.

LeBron James Over 24.5 Points (-108) at FanDuel Sportsbook

“The King” went well under his scoring total in Game 1—just as I predicted in my best NBA player prop picks for last Saturday—with only 19 points. However, he did so on an efficient 60 percent shooting, and I believe that this is where we see the flip in mindset.

With the feel-out game out of the way, LeBron needs to settle into the role of a primary scorer without Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves available, and Luke Kennard presumably not maintaining the play of prime Ray Allen. Houston let the Lakers shoot 61 percent from the floor and 53 percent from three in Game 1, and they don’t seem to have a strong sense of self-belief.

Kevin Durant Under 2.5 Threes (-138) at FanDuel Sportsbook

JJ Redick has done a terrific job of taking away teams’ greatest strength during his brief career as an NBA coach, a la Bill Belichick. If Durant manages to get past a knee issue and can get on the court, I don’t believe that he will have much time to make decisions with the ball in his hand.

Durant went over in three of four games to close the regular season and made 2.4 threes per game on 41.3 percent shooting, yet he went under in two of three meetings with the Lakers. LA is a top-10 team in terms of fewest made threes allowed per game, and they have what it takes to help cash this under.
