NBA Player Props and Best Bets: Jayson Tatum, Kevin Durant & More Picks for Friday, April 24

I’m still yet to have a losing day of picks during the NBA Playoffs, and I’m back with another group of selections of NBA player prop picks for Friday, April 24.

The young Atlanta Hawks took a surprising 2-1 lead over the New York Knicks thanks to CJ McCollum’s second game-winning shot of the series last night. The Toronto Raptors also poured it on the Cleveland Cavaliers to earn their first victory of the series, before Ayo Dosunmu inspired a 17-point victory for the Minnesota Timberwolves over the Denver Nuggets.

Today’s games include the Boston Celtics visiting the Philadelphia 76ers, the San Antonio Spurs against the Portland Trail Blazers, and the Los Angeles Lakers versus the Houston Rockets.

Here are my top NBA player prop picks and bets for Friday, April 24.

Best NBA Player Props Today 2026 04 24

Paul George Under 2.5 Threes (+114) at FanDuel Sportsbook

I understand that the Celtics’ three-point defense wasn’t all that great this season, but these odds aren’t a fair reflection of what we have seen in this series. George, despite playing well, hasn’t attempted more than five threes in one game, and only took seven in the entire series (along with just 10.5 overall field goals per game).

The 76ers are relying heavily on Tyrese Maxey and VJ Edgecombe to create their offense, and a lot of George’s work has come in the intermediate area. He’s shooting the ball well, but without the necessary volume, he might never get a real chance to cash the over.

Jayson Tatum Over 10.5 Rebounds (-118) at FanDuel Sportsbook

Something strange has happened, where Tatum has all of a sudden become one of the best rebounding wings in the NBA. He averaged 10.0 boards during the regular season (in limited appearances) and snatched 11 and 14 boards in the first two games of the ongoing series.

The 76ers finished the year ranked 22nd in rebounds allowed per game, and Tatum has shown that he is capable of getting the over against them. After losing Game 2 and heading on the road on Friday, I expect him to play heavy minutes, giving him the platform to log another over.

Luke Kennard Under 14.5 Points (-136) at FanDuel Sportsbook

Kennard has been playing the best basketball of his career in these playoffs, averaging 25 points per game on absurd 65/73/80 shooting splits. And for as impressive as he has been, there is simply no way that he can continue to play with this level of efficiency.

The Rockets were known as a strong defensive team during the regular season, and they are as desperate as they can be going back to their arena in a 0-2 hole. Kennard has been the secondary playmaker without Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves on the court, and I expect Houston to key in on him to try to slow down the Lakers’ offense.

Kevin Durant Over 4.5 Assists (-152) at FanDuel Sportsbook

Durant has never liked it when teams aggressively sent multiple bodies his way, and that proved itself true once again in Game 2. Although Durant shot an efficient 58.3 percent from the field, he only had 23 points and logged nine turnovers to his four assists.

I don’t expect the Lakers to play much differently on defense, but I do believe that the Rockets will come prepared with more answers to help Durant. The Lakers’ commitment to sending multiple defenders leaves other players unaccounted for, and as long as they knock down open shots, I like Durant to beat this line.

Stephon Castle Over 18.5 Points (-110) at FanDuel Sportsbook

No Victor Wembanyama means that it’s officially Stephon Castle time tonight in Game 3 against the Trail Blazers on the road in Portland. The reigning Rookie of the Year scored 17 points in Game 1 and 18 in Game 2 on horribly inefficient shooting (33.3 percent), and if he can get close to his yearly standard of 47.1 percent, he should be in business.

The Spurs were a great team all year with or without Wembanyama on the floor, and Castle was often the player to step up when his 7-foot-4 teammate was gone. He went over in four of his last six games without Wemby, and he will get plenty of shots in this game.
