NBA Player Props and Best Bets: Cade Cunningham, LeBron James & More Picks for NBA Playoffs on Monday

The NBA Playoffs are back with a bang on Monday night with one elimination game and another with the series teetering in the balance, and I have my top player prop picks for both.

The New York Knicks blitzed the Philadelphia 76ers to sweep them out of the playoffs last night in a game that was over by halftime. Later in the evening, the Minnesota Timberwolves took down the San Antonio Spurs to tie the series as Victor Wembanyama was ejected and Anthony Edwards’ spectacular fourth quarter capped off a 36-point night.

Tonight’s matchups will see the Cleveland Cavaliers host the Detroit Pistons, down 2-1 in the series, before the Los Angeles Lakers will look to avoid being swept by the Oklahoma City Thunder in Game 4.

Here are my top NBA player prop picks and bets today for the NBA Playoffs on Monday, May 11.

Best NBA Player Props Today 2026 05 11

Donovan Mitchell Over 26.5 Points (-132) at FanDuel Sportsbook

Mitchell is used to explosive scoring nights in the playoffs, and he has started to dominate the Cavaliers’ offense at a time that conveniently coincides with James Harden disappearing once again. Mitchell dropped 31 and 35 points in his last two games and has now gone over in all four matchups with the Pistons this season.

Detroit is excellent on defense, but Mitchell is willing to take tons of shots and regularly gives himself a great chance to hit his overs because of his raw volume. The Cavaliers really need to win Game 4 at home to tie the series, and Mitchell’s career 27.9-point-per-game scoring in the playoffs makes him trustworthy in this spot.

Cade Cunningham Under 9.5 Assists (-132) at FanDuel Sportsbook

Cunningham averaged 9.9 assists per game during the regular season, second in the league, and went over in two and straight and three of his last four playoff games. However, there’s a consistent and troubling trend that has me questioning if he can continue to deliver.

The usually safe-handed Cunningham has been a turnover disaster in the postseason, giving the ball away eight times in his last game and an average of 5.8 times across the playoffs. The Pistons also shot the ball worse from the field than every team left in the playoffs, and those together don’t breed lots of confidence in his outlook.

Evan Mobley Under 7.5 Rebounds (+112) at FanDuel Sportsbook

I can liken this prop back to my pick above by mentioning that if a team turns the ball over frequently, they also create fewer rebounding opportunities by shooting the ball less frequently. But beyond that, Mobley is simply one of the most unreliable “good or better” players in all of basketball on a nightly basis.

The 6-foot-11 forward’s rebounding totals in this series are nine, one, and eight, perfectly representing his inconsistent motor and aggression on the glass. He went over in six of 10 playoff games up to this point, but the Pistons are excellent on the glass, and Jalen Duren in particular is brutish enough to muscle Mobley out of rebounding positions.

LeBron James Over 21.5 Points (-118) at FanDuel Sportsbook

LeBron hit the over in two of three games in this series, averaging 23 points on efficient 52/38/78 shooting splits. His shot volume also ticked up every game as he took 17, 18, and 19 field goal attempts as the series progressed through the first three games.

This could very well be LeBron's final game in a Lakers uniform, if not the final game of his NBA career. I think it would be foolish not to expect him to be as aggressive as he can be at his age with his season and career hanging in the balance, especially with him hitting the over in three of five total matchups with OKC this season.

Deandre Ayton Under 8.5 Rebounds (-102) at FanDuel Sportsbook

Ayton’s pathetic display of uninspiring effort and lethargy in a do-or-die situation in the fourth quarter of Game 3 was a stain on what has been a great playoffs. JJ Redick appeared to indicate that he couldn’t play Ayton with how detrimental he was to his team, and I believe that he could be on a very short leash in Game 4.

Rookie Adou Thiero gave good defensive minutes the last couple of games and led the Lakers in rebounds in Game 3 in only 13 minutes, and I believe that he could take Ayton’s spot in the rotation. The Lakers also played their best when they had more pace and space on the court, which also does not bode well for Ayton.
