NBA Player Props Today: LeBron James, Donovan Mitchell & More for Wednesday, April 29

The NBA Playoffs are really starting to take shape, and I’m here to share my favorite player prop bets for the Wednesday postseason action.

The San Antonio Spurs booked their ticket into the second round by eliminating the Portland Trail Blazers in five games yesterday, while Joel Embiid battled through a knee issue to drop 33 points and eight assists as the Philadelphia 76ers drew one game closer to the Boston Celtics, 3-2.

Wednesday’s three-game slate begins with the Orlando Magic in an elimination game against the Detroit Pistons, continues with the Cleveland Cavaliers facing the Toronto Raptors, and will conclude with the Los Angeles Lakers hosting another elimination matchup with the Houston Rockets.

Here are my top NBA Playoffs player props and bets for Wednesday, April 29.

NBA Player Props Today 2026 04 29

Paolo Banchero Under 21.5 Points (-132) at FanDuel Sportsbook

I have to give the Magic credit for being up 3-1 on a 60-win first seed, especially when Banchero shot 37.3 percent from the field, 26.7 percent from three, and 71.4 percent from the free-throw line. He split the over/under at two games apiece in this series, but he really has not instilled any confidence in his shooting ability.

The Pistons are one game away from being eliminated and are going back to their home floor, where they were excellent this season. I can only assume that they will have better luck there and begin to right their wrongs, and they can create fewer scoring opportunities for the Magic if they stop turning the ball over at a historic rate.

Cade Cunningham Over 9.5 Assists (+100) at FanDuel Sportsbook

Nobody on the Pistons has shown up in this series. Cunningham only went over one time in four games, and he made it nearly impossible for himself by committing seven, nine, and eight turnovers in the last three games, the most in a three-game stretch in the playoffs in nearly 50 years.

The Magic typically do a solid job of limiting their opponents’ assists, but Cunningham averaged 9.9 per game and will have a solid chance of getting the over if Jalen Duren and his teammates remember how to play basketball. I’m fully behind the Pistons tonight, and Cunningham is the head of that snake.

Donovan Mitchell Over 26.5 Points (-122) at FanDuel Sportsbook

The Raptors had their fun on their home court, responding to consecutive double-digit losses with two wins of their own. As the series transitions back to Cleveland, I’m expecting to see the Mitchell that averaged 28.1 points per game in the playoffs for his career.

The Cavs’ star guard opened the series with 32 and 30 points before he scored 15 and 20 in Games 3 and 4. He is a microwave in the sense that he can get hot in a hurry, and he’s accustomed to taking a ton of shots in the playoffs.

LeBron James Under 7.5 Assists (+104) at FanDuel Sportsbook

James logged over in Games 1 and 4 and unders in Games 2 and 3. He had nine dimes in his last game, but he could also spend less time with the ball in his hands now that Austin Reaves is expected to return to the action in what would be his season playoff debut.

The Rockets got pummeled on the road to begin the series, but they are in as desperate a situation as they can be. I expect this to be a slow, ugly, low-scoring game that the Lakers win, but that doesn’t look great in the box score for most players.

Amen Thompson Over 7.5 Rebounds (-104) at FanDuel Sportsbook

The Rockets have collapsed when Thompson wasn't on the floor, which hasn’t been very often. He logged at least 41 minutes in every game and averaged 43.5 for the series, which could be about how many he plays in tonight’s elimination battle.

The 23-year-old averaged 7.8 rebounds per game during the regular season, even though he went under in three of four games in this series. The Lakers do a nice job of limiting their opponents’ rebounds, but Thompson should play a ton of minutes, and if the overall efficiency is low, that will give him more chances to get on the boards.
