It’s fight week in Macau as the UFC returns for its fifth fight card in the region, headlined by a bantamweight bout between Chinese sanda athlete Song Yadong and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt Deiveson Figueiredo.

Song Yadong vs. Deiveson Figueiredo - Bantamweight Division

Having dropped two of his last three fights, including a decision defeat to former champion Sean O’Malley in his last bout, Song returns to home soil needing a victory to secure his spot in the Top 5 of the bantamweight rankings. He’s the -750 favorite with FanDuel this Saturday.

Despite his presence in the Top 5, “The Kung Fu Kid” has yet to have a title fight. A victory over Figueiredo will bolster his standing within the division and put him back in the win column. The 28-year-old is a competent wrestler, yet is more known for his power, explosiveness, and speed, meaning he could finish this fight early.

Opponent Figueiredo has been outstruck in his last 10 consecutive fights, and he’s won just one of his past four bouts. That includes losses against Petr Yan, Cory Sandhagen, and, most recently, against Umar Nurmagomedov back in January. The lone triumph for “Deus Da Guerra” came via split decision against Montel Jackson.

While neither fighter has looked at their best of late, it’s easy to see why Song is the big favorite. He has the home advantage and has looked much more competent of late, despite his recent defeats. Figueiredo does have the experience to cause an upset, though, and is a former flyweight champion.

Zhang Mingyang vs. Alonzo Menifield - Light Heavyweight Division

Unranked Zhang Mingyang suffered his first loss with the promotion last August after being defeated by Johnny Walker via TKO. That saw his 12-fight streak come to an end, so he’ll be looking to get back on track as he squares off against No. 15 ranked contender Alonzo Menifield. Zhang is the -260 favorite with FanDuel ahead of the light heavyweight clash.

“Atomic” also lost in his last bout, being finished inside the first 90 seconds by Volkan Oezdemir. Prior to that, however, Menifield racked up back-to-back wins over Julius Walker and Oumar Sy. The 38-year-old doesn’t exactly have the best of resumes, but a win here would keep him in the rankings.

Three successive knockout wins for Zhang to open his UFC career means he has shown promising signs. If he can get back to winning ways with a victory over Menifield, he could potentially take on a Top 10 contender next. Expect this one to be an explosive battle.

Sergei Pavlovich vs. Tallison Teixeira - Heavyweight Division

Russian fighter Sergei Pavlovich is looking to extend his winning streak to three when he goes up against Tallison Teixeira this weekend. The 34-year-old enters this one on the back of consecutive decision wins over Jairzinho Rozenstruik and Waldo Cortes-Acosta. It’s no surprise to see him as the huge -620 favorite with FanDuel.

Pavlovich has picked up some very impressive wins over his near eight-year career in the UFC, including over the likes of Derrick Lewis and Curtis Blaydes. He’s currently ranked No. 3 in the heavyweight rankings and will want to keep the momentum flowing against Teixeira.

“Xicao” has just 10 pro fights under his belt, and is 2-1 in the UFC. After suffering a knockout defeat against Lewis after just 35 seconds last July, Teixeira managed to secure a decision win over Tai Tuivasa in his last bout. Triumph for the young Brazilian against Pavlovich would send shockwaves throughout the division.

Kai Asakura vs. Cameron Smotherman - Bantamweight Division

Kai Asakura heads into his maiden bantamweight bout up against Cameron Smotherman as the -300 favorite with FanDuel. The Japanese fighter is hoping to snap a two-fight losing streak after suffering consecutive losses to Alexandre Pantoja and Tim Elliott at flyweight. Clearly fighting at 125 lbs wasn’t for him, so we’ll see how he fares 10 lbs heavier. 

Opponent Smotherman also enters this matchup on the back of successive losses. He dropped two by decision against Serhiy Sidey and Ricky Simon, taking his UFC record to 1-2. The 28-year-old will be hoping he can draw some inspiration from his promotional debut where he defeated Jake Hadley on the judge’s scorecard.

Jake Matthews vs. Carlston Harris - Welterweight Division

Fighting for the first time since September 2025 when he was submitted by Neil Magny, Jake Matthews jumps back into the Octagon to take on Carlston Harris. Matthews is the -325 favorite with FanDuel, and is an incredibly well-balanced fighter that will be difficult for Harris to exploit.

Guyanese fighter Harris comes in for Muslim Salikhov on short notice, making his first appearance in almost 18 months. He’ll be looking to snap a two-fight skid after suffering back-to-back knockouts by Khaos Williams and Santiago Ponzinibbio.

Alex Perez vs. Su Mudaerji - Flyweight Division

The main card starts off with arguably the most balanced bout of the night between Alex Perez and Su Mudaerji. It’s UFC veteran Perez who’s the -144 favorite with FanDuel for this one, as he looks to improve upon his recent poor record of 2-5. However, the 34-year-old has made a solid start to the year, picking up a first-round win over Charles Johnson.

Streaking Chinese fighter Sumudaerji will be a tough opponent, however, since he has won his last three straight, including a decision victory against Jesús Santos Aguilar back in March. “The Tibetan Eagle” has a significant reach advantage and will be looking to use that to control the distance in this bout.
