Canada vs. Morocco Prop Bets

Canada returns to action at World Cup 2026 with a last-16 tie against Morocco.

Morocco to Score First ($0.61) at Polymarket

We begin our latest round-up of recommended daily World Cup team props with a couple of choices from Canada vs Morocco, which kick-starts the round of 32. Despite being a co-host this summer, Jesse Marsch’s men must continue the rest of the tournament south of the border in the USA, removing the advantage from which they benefited in the group stage.

That was not enough to halt Canada in the round of 32, as Marsch’s team ran out 1-0 winners against South Africa in California. The Reds left it late, requiring a last-gasp winner from Stephen Eustaquio to see off Bafana Bafana, but it was the better team on the day. That description also fits Morocco, which outperformed the Netherlands in general play before winning the penalty shoot-out.

Canada has been slow out of the blocks in many of its matches this summer. In three of its four outings, it has failed to score a first-half goal. It fell behind to Bosnia & Herzegovina in its opening game, as well as to Switzerland in the Group B concluder. Morocco scored the first goal in two of its group games and it is poised to do so again today - you can buy that outcome for $0.61 on Polymarket.

Under 2.5 Goals ($0.59) at Polymarket

Canada struggled to break down South Africa last time out, much as it did when it faced Bosnia & Herzegovina and Switzerland in the group phase. An overall goal tally of nine looks healthy at first glance, but it is important to remember that six of those strikes came against a poor Qatar team which had two players sent off in a 6-0 defeat. Canada has yet to fully dispel the pre-tournament concerns over its offensive output.

Morocco has not covered itself in glory in that regard either. Similarly to Canada, it scored a large chunk of its goals in one match - in its case, four of seven against Haiti. In the combined eight matches these two teams have played at World Cup 2026, they have scored just one goal in six of them.

That points towards a low-scoring affair at the NRG Stadium. Another reason why goals will be in short supply today relates simply to the stage of the competition we are at. The goals-per-game rate at World Cups always drops after the group stage, because one mistake from here has the potential to eliminate a team from the tournament. With all that in mind, we recommend buying under 2.5 goals on Polymarket for a price of $0.59.

Paraguay vs. France Prop Bets

France will be aiming to flex its muscles against Paraguay in the round of 16.

France Over 2.5 Goals ($0.49) at Polymarket

France has been magnificent so far. The prizes are never handed out in the first knockout round, so their early performance may ultimately count for nothing, but as things stand Les Bleus looks like the team to beat.

Didier Deschamps has adopted a more offensive approach this time, and France’s front four of Ousmane Dembele, Michael Olise, Kylian Mbappe and either Bradley Barcola or Desire Doue has been wreaking havoc. When its attack is on song, it is almost impossible to keep France out.

Paraguay will try to do so today. It did a good job against Germany last time out, tying 1-1 with the four-time world champion before winning the penalty shoot-out. That was the greatest result in Paraguay’s history, and it required a huge defensive effort across 120 minutes. Unfortunately for Gustavo Alfaro’s men, it is hard to envisage a repeat display here.

Put simply, France has much more firepower in its ranks than Germany, which was hugely disappointing in the round of 32. Deschamps’ team has already scored 13 goals in four games at this tournament, striking at least three times against every opponent. Tip France to score over 2.5 goals at $0.49 with Polymarket.

Michael Olise to Score Anytime ($0.33) at Polymarket

We conclude our picks for today’s World Cup action by considering the soccer player props odds. Kylian Mbappe will get plenty of love in the anytime goalscorer market - as he should. Mbappe has been sensational so far, scoring six goals in his first four appearances to fire France into the round of 16.

Yet you could make an argument that Mbappe has only been France’s second-best player. Michael Olise, in some ways, has been just as good as the Real Madrid man. Moved into the No.10 role midway through France’s opening game against Senegal, Olise has been delightful to watch ever since.

The only black mark against the former Crystal Palace forward is the fact he is yet to score up to now. Olise has provided five assists, so he has had a direct hand in plenty of goals, but he is still waiting to get his own name on the scoresheet.

That drought is likely to come to an end when France faces Paraguay today. The South American side will sit deep, giving France the opportunity to pull the trigger from distance - and few are more deadly than Olise 25 or 30 yards from goal. Go for Olise to score anytime at $0.33 on Polymarket.
