NBA Predictions Today 2026 05 06 Knicks Og Anunoby

Knicks Beat 76ers by 7.5 Points in Game 2 (Yes, 50%)

What happened to the 76ers in Game 1? Coming off their triumphant series win over the Celtics, they failed to show up for the series opener in New York. It could have been fatigue getting the best of them, but one day of rest between Game 1 and Game 2 may not make that much of a difference. After a 39-point loss, it’ll take a complete turnaround to make Game 2 competitive.

Granted, we could be drinking the Kool-Aid on the Knicks a little bit. But they’ve also won four straight games, all by at least 16 points, with an average margin of victory of 33.8 points. They seem to be getting better in every game. With the home crowd behind them, it feels unlikely that the Knicks will get complacent and have a letdown this early in the series, so we’ll back them to cover the spread.

OG Anunoby 20+ Points in Game 2 (Yes, 38%)

Jalen Brunson is New York’s main man, but Anunoby has also been a critical part of the team’s playoff success. He scored 16.7 points per game during the regular season but is averaging 21 points per game during the playoffs. Anunoby has taken things to a different level, making him a player we want to target in Game 2.

Oddly enough, Anunoby only had 18 points in Game 1. But part of that is only playing 30 minutes because the game was such a blowout. He was 7 for 8 from the field in that game, and that was after going 11 for 14 in the final game of the first round. It’s hard to find a player who’s more locked in right now than Anunoby, so we’ll take a chance on the lucrative odds for him to score 20+ points in Game 2.

Spurs Beat Timberwolves by 10.5 Points in Game 1 (No, 53%)

Ahead of Game 1, we had no idea that Anthony Edwards was going to make an early return from injury. While he didn’t start, Edwards came off the bench to score 18 points in 25 minutes. Even though the T’Wolves were outscored by two points while he was on the floor, his return gave Minnesota a huge emotional lift.

In other words, this may not be the series we thought it would be. Of course, the Spurs remain the favorites to win the series, which likely means evening up the series in Game 2. But even with Victor Wembanyama’s triple-double in Game 1, the Spurs fell short. That makes it hard to back San Antonio to win Game 2 by double digits, so we’re going to lean toward Minnesota and the points Wednesday night.

Julius Randle 15+ Points in Game 2 (Yes, 74%)

This isn’t the most lucrative prop bet, but it feels like a safe option, which is why we find it appealing. Randle is coming off a 21-point, 10-rebound double-double in Game 1, playing a key role in Minnesota’s victory. Even if there’s some drop-off in Game 2, reaching at least 15 points shouldn’t be difficult, especially since he scored at least 15 points in all three regular-season games against San Antonio this season.

Equally important, Randle has scored at least 15 points in all seven playoff games. His lowest-scoring playoff games have come in comfortable Minnesota wins when he played fewer minutes. With the T’Wolves being underdogs, that certainly won’t be the case in Game 2, giving Randle more than enough playing time to keep scoring 15+ points.
