Bryan Zarpentine is a freelance writer with a rich history of writing about sports and sports betting, among many other topics. He’s had a lifelong obsession with sports as a player, fan, and eventually writer. 

Bryan is a longtime resident of Upstate New York and a graduate of Syracuse University, making him a fan of most teams that wear orange and blue, including the New York Mets, Denver Broncos, and all Syracuse Orange teams. He is also a lifelong soccer fan, including the USMNT, USWNT, and Tottenham Hotspur.

Throughout his career, Bryan has covered baseball, the NFL, NBA, college football, college basketball, soccer, and a few other sports. He has also worked outside of the sports industry, even co-authoring a book about tech startups. Bryan’s work - past and present - can be found all over the Internet.

Experience

Bryan has been working as a freelance writer since 2010. He got his start covering the SEC and appearing on a weekly podcast for a small site the year Cam Newton dominated the college football world. Bryan has been writing about sports ever since.

Before WSN, Bryan contributed to more than a dozen sites as a freelancer, covering a wide range of sports. His past experience has helped him to develop his writing style, understand the ins and outs of sports betting, and become comfortable writing about a wide variety of sports to best serve sports fans who want to learn and get betting advice.

Education

Grant has a Bachelor's in both English & Textual Studies and Geography from Syracuse University. This is where he learned how best to combine his love of sports and passion for writing into a full-time job.
