NBA Player Props and Best Bets for October 28: Will Giannis Help Milwaukee Upset the Celtics?
Monday marks the finale of the first week of the 2024-25 NBA season. If the early signs are any indication, this is going to be a season of excitement and thrills.
LeBron James might be the oldest player in the league, but he’s still accomplishing feats that no player before him ever had. The youthful Oklahoma City Thunder are undefeated, while the Boston Celtics might just be better than they were during their title-winning season a year ago.

Best NBA Prop Bets for Monday, October 28
Tyrese Haliburton Under 2.5 Threes (-104) at FanDuel
Haliburton jokingly blamed his recent shooting slump on his new pregame naps Stephen Curry convinced him to take, but the reality is that he is not shooting the ball well from deep. Despite going 4-9 from range his last time out, he’s made just 1.7 threes per game and is shooting 20 percent from beyond the perimeter.
The 24-year-old looks nothing like his usual self and averaged just 12.3 points, 3.7 assists, and 3.3 rebounds. Meanwhile, the Orlando Magic have an outstanding defensive roster and allowed teams to make 12.7 threes per game, which is in the top half of the league.

Giannis Antetokounmpo Under 11.5 Rebounds (-132) at FanDuel
The Greek Freak beat this line in two of three games and snatched 12 rebounds his last time out. He also averaged 12.3 rebounds and has yet to record fewer than 11 boards in the young season, yet we’re looking at him to go under on Monday.
The Boston Celtics, whom the Milwaukee Bucks are facing, are usually a great rebounding team despite being somewhat average thus far. Boston also ranks 28th in pace of play and will slow the game down while creating long rebounds with all of their three-point shots, leading to more rebounds for guards and wings and not big men like Antetokounmpo.

Donovan Mitchell Over 24.5 Points (-115) at FanDuel
Mitchell is one of the best scorers in the game. He started the season slow but ripped off 30 points in 29 minutes and on 61/55 shooting splits his last time out, which puts him in a nice rhythm ahead of his showdown with the New York Knicks.
NY appears to have been so focused on fixing its offense that it forgot defensive intensity is central to its plans for long-term success as they posted the second-worst defensive rating in the NBA to start the year. Mitchell also scored 30 points the only time he visited Madison Square Garden in 2023.

Coby White Under 4.5 Assists (-115) at FanDuel
White averaged 4.7 assists and went over this line in two of three games, though he recorded fewer assists in every game than he did in the preceding one. He also dropped just three dimes in a 114-95 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder his last time on the court.
The Memphis Grizzlies might have failed to play up to their usual defensive standard and to the level mandated by their personnel, but they allowed the second-fewest assists per game (20.7). They will also inevitably show improvement on the defensive end, which translates to even fewer assists for their opponents.

Bradley Beal 3+ Threes (+145) at FanDuel
Beal has been lights-out from three-point territory to start the season, making 3.5 per game and shooting 58.3 percent from distance. He went over this line in both games he played in, including one against the Lakers on Friday (though Phoenix lost 123-116).
The Lakers are only 17th in opponents’ three-point percentage (36.9) and made three-pointers allowed per game (15). They allowed the Suns to sink 17 of their 37 (45.9 percent) three-point attempts when they last met, and their impressive ball movement suggests that they will continue to create open looks from a distance.
