NBA Player Props and Best Bets: Anthony Davis Over and a Thunder-Grizzlies SGP
The weekend is almost here, and these NBA player prop bets for Thursday will make it feel like Friday night arrived a day early.
Nikola Jokic put up a 39-point triple-double to lift the Denver Nuggets over the shorthanded Milwaukee Bucks, while the Boston Celtics’ balanced effort helped them crush the Phoenix Suns at home.
Thursday’s schedule, under the shadow of the Sweet 16, has a standout matchup of the Memphis Grizzlies against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Here are my best NBA player prop picks for Thursday.

Best NBA Prop Bets for Thursday, March 27
Andrew Nembhard Over 4.5 Assists (-125) at bet365
A former second-round pick, Nembhard only had three assists in the Indiana Pacers’ loss to the Los Angeles Lakers last night, but he went over in three of four games just before that. He also gets to take on the terrible Washington Wizards, who allowed the fifth-most assists per game.
Nembhard had four assists in his only previous matchup with the Wizards in D.C. on Feb. 12. Tyrese Haliburton also had 18 assists in last night’s Lakers matchup, and any sort of margin for error or regression to the mean should prove to be enough to help Nembhard, who averaged 5.1 assists per game, get over this line.

Coby White Under 2.5 Threes (+130) at bet365
White shot the leather off of the ball in recent games, making 11 threes in 19 shots in his last two games and scoring 35+ points in three straight games. One of those games happened against the Lakers just five days ago, when he went 12-17 from the field and 6-9 from three en route to 36 points.
If there’s anything to know about JJ Redick, it’s that he won’t stand for the Lakers making the same mistakes multiple times in a row, much less in the same week. LA is also still 10th in made threes allowed per game over the last month despite a recent slump and now has all of its guys, including LeBron James and Rui Hachimura, back and healthy.

Malik Monk Under 5.5 Assists (-135) at bet365
Monk essentially hung out exactly around this line and alternated between over and under game-to-game. However, he’s still not a natural point guard despite what his coaching staff is asking him to do, and he went under in two of three matchups with the Portland Trail Blazers, including their last meeting on Feb. 6.
The Blazers allowed the seventh-fewest assists to opposing point guards per game and have become a solid defensive outfit over the last couple of months. The vibes in the Kings’ locker room also just aren’t great, as evidenced by their slumping form and Zach LaVine’s recent press conference admission.

Max Strus Over 9.5 Points (-115) at bet365
The Cleveland Cavaliers forward came back to Earth after a scorching hot streak of games, but he still shot 39.7 percent from three and averaged 10.9 points per game in March. He may have gone under in three straight games, but he went over in 10 if 13 games immediately before that.
The Spurs are a relative nothing-burger on defense without Victor Wembanyama in the lineup (get well soon, Wemby), and allowed the third-most points per game over the last month of action. The Cavs have definitely taken their foot off the gas in recent weeks, but Strus can get over this line just by nailing a few open shots against a porous defense.

Anthony Davis Over 2.5 Assists (-130) at bet365
Davis played two games since joining the Dallas Mavericks and one since coming back from his groin injury. He registered three and seven assists in those outings and should be in line to play at least the 27 minutes he played against the Brooklyn Nets on Monday when he registered the three dimes.
The Mavericks are going on the road to face the Orlando Magic, who allowed the second-fewest assists per game over the last 30 days. That said, the supporting cast of the Mavs has gotten plenty of reps amid Davis’ absence, and his gravity should create open space for players to make at least three of their shots off of his passes.

NBA Same-Game Parlay (+350) at bet365
-Memphis Grizzlies at Oklahoma City Thunder (-10)
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander under 4.5 rebounds: The presumptive MVP had eight rebounds in his last game but went under in three of five before that and had two total rebounds in his last two matchups with the Grizzlies.
Chet Holmgren 15+ points: He went over in four of his last five games, while the Grizzlies are 21st in points allowed per game over the last month.
Santi Aldama under 2.5 threes: He went under in five of his last six games, while the Thunder allowed the lowest three-point percentage (34.1) in the entire NBA.
