NBA Player Props and Best Bets: LeBron James, Bam Adebayo & More Picks for Saturday, Feb. 28
Let’s kick off the weekend the right way with another batch of my best NBA player prop picks for Saturday.
Jalen Duren’s 33 points and 16 rebounds helped the Detroit Pistons claw an improbable comeback against the Cleveland Cavaliers in last night’s Eastern Conference showdown. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander also dropped 36 points and nine assists in his return to the court to lead the Oklahoma City Thunder past the Denver Nuggets in overtime.
Saturday’s slate includes another edition of the Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Lakers’ rivalry, as well as a cross-conference matchup between the Houston Rockets and the Miami Heat.
Here are my top NBA player prop picks and bets for Saturday, Feb. 28.

Scoot Henderson under 16.5 points (-125) at FanDuel Sportsbook
I’m not here to make the case for LaMelo Ball being a great point-of-attack defender, but I can honestly say that the Charlotte Hornets ranked third in points allowed per game over their last 10 outings. The help defense from Brandon Miller and others should also help put a lid on the cup for Henderson.
The Portland Trail Blazers’ young guard went under this line four times in his last five games and only played 24 minutes in his last outing. The fact that he shot 50 percent from the field and went under in his last game is especially worrying, considering he only shot 41.7 percent from the floor for the season.

Bam Adebayo over 9.5 rebounds (-130) at FanDuel Sportsbook
Adebayo and the Miami Heat haven’t faced the Houston Rockets this season, but he went over in both of his matchups against the Detroit Pistons, who play with a similar level of physicality and are equally dominant on the glass. He’s also coming off a 14-rebound performance against the Philadelphia 76ers.
The Rockets haven’t quite been at their best on the boards in recent weeks, and they’re going to be without Jabari Smith Jr. and Steven Adams in this contest. Houston is also just 17-14 on the road, so Adebayo should have a solid opportunity to cash the over in front of his home fans.

Brandon Ingram under 1.5 threes (-102) at FanDuel Sportsbook
Ingram made 1.8 threes on 4.9 attempts per game this season, translating to a 36.8 percent conversion rate. He went over in three of four games coming out of the All-Star break, but he was also just 0-2 from three in his most recent contest.
The Washington Wizards are not a stellar team on defense, and they ranked just 25th in made threes allowed per game over their last 10 contests. However, they held Ingram under this number in both of their previous encounters, and he’s just not a high-volume or high-efficiency shooter from deep.

LeBron James over 5.5 rebounds (-102) at FanDuel Sportsbook
LeBron loves to play against the Warriors, as we’ve learned ever since 2015. He went over with seven rebounds in their only previous matchup this season on Feb. 7, and he also cash the over in back-to-back outings this week.
The Warriors are below average on the glass, and they rely on smaller guards and wings to do their bidding on the interior. James and the Lakers are struggling and could use a surge in momentum, and that The King can inspire that with his effort on the boards.

Jordan Poole under 11.5 points (-106) at FanDuel Sportsbook
Poole got to play the last few games for the New Orleans Pelicans after he was removed from his team’s rotation. He only scored three points in 10 minutes of action last night, and now he’s doubling back for a second straight matchup with the Utah Jazz.
Poole split the over/under since he was reinserted into his team’s rotation, but he only shot 38.9 percent from the field and 34.5 percent from three during that time. I don’t believe he will get to play that many minutes later tonight, and he doesn't have the overall efficiency needed to make him a consistent threat.
