NBA Player Props Today: Spurs vs. Knicks Game 3
The NBA Finals have reached a pivotal point, as the New York Knicks prepare to defend their 2-0 series lead against the San Antonio Spurs, and I have my favorite player prop picks today for the matchup.
The Knicks won each of the first two games as road underdogs, giving them all of the momentum as they head back to their home court. This dominant start has completely flipped the NBA Championship odds in New York's favor; after all, no team in NBA history has ever done what the Spurs are now trying to do, which is win the championship after dropping Games 1 and 2 at home.
On the other side, Victor Wembanyama and company had the ball in their hands late in the fourth quarter with the game tied before a comedic turnover allowed Jalen Brunson to make the game-winning free-throw. Wemby said he is comfortable with this pressure, but he has to prove that on the court.
Here are my top Spurs vs. Knicks Game 3 player prop picks and bets for today, Monday, June 8.

Jalen Brunson Over 26.5 Points (-106) at FanDuel Sportsbook
The Spurs realized that they had the same issue they had early against the Oklahoma City Thunder, which was that by double-teaming Brunson, they were conceding easy shots to other members of the Knicks. They adapted and went back to leaving defenders on an island with Brunson, setting the tone ahead of Game 3.
The Knicks’ leading man only scored 20 points after a 30-point Game 1 and shot a terrible 33.9 percent from the floor in the series, but he made timely baskets and took 28 field goals per game. That’s more than enough volume for him to get over this number.

Stephon Castle Under 16.5 Points (-130) at FanDuel Sportsbook
Last year’s Rookie of the Year winner scored 14 points in Game 2 after he dropped 17 in the series opener. He also hasn’t shot the ball efficiently, but the difference with him is that he took more shots than he averaged in the playoffs, and should reasonably come down from that number.
The length of Mikal Bridges and OG Anunoby has flustered Castle at times, and his physicality has prevented him from getting a favorable whistle with the referees. His style of play doesn’t give him any kind of advantage against this opponent, so I’ll take the under.

Victor Wembanyama Over 2.5 Threes (+174) at FanDuel Sportsbook
I’m willing to take a risk here and back Wemby to have a great day, as his team battles their playoff mortality. He scored 28 points in the second half of Game 2 and finally looked like he found his rhythm, even if he missed the would-be game-winner at the end.
The Spurs’ big man made two threes in each of the first two games, despite only shooting 26.7 percent from deep for the series. He’s a much better shooter than those numbers show, and I don’t expect him to be overcome by the Madison Square Garden stage.

Karl-Anthony Towns Over 11.5 Rebounds (-118) at FanDuel Sportsbook
The Spurs’ path to victory likely comes on the defensive end, not the offensive one. I don’t believe that the Spurs will shoot the ball much more efficiently than they have up to this point, which means that Towns’ rebounding opportunities will be preserved.
The big Bahamian snatched 12 and 13 boards in the first couple of outings in this series, and has gone over this line in five of his last six contests. Wembanyama can’t push him off his spot, which means Towns just needs to be in the area to have a great chance at getting the rebound on a given possession.

Josh Hart Over 4.5 Assists (-102) at FanDuel Sportsbook
This has not been a great series for Hart, who found himself in foul trouble in each of the last two games. However, he had six assists in 27 minutes in Game 1 and four in 18 minutes in Game 2, showing that he can run up the numbers in a short time.
There’s a stereotype that role players shoot the ball better on their home court. If that is the case, Hart should benefit from improved shooting around him, and if he can stay out of foul trouble, he’ll have a solid chance of beating this line.
