How Underdog Pick'em Works

Underdog Pick'em allows users to evaluate individual player statistics and predict whether a player will finish with More or Less than their assigned projection line. You build an entry by picking anywhere from 2 to 8 player projections across one or multiple games.

Entries come in two main formats:

• Standard Picks: Every selection on your card must hit for the entry to win, offering higher payout multipliers.
• Flex Picks: Allows you to earn a payout even if one of your picks falls short, reducing total risk in exchange for a lower maximum multiplier.

Worked Example: 2-Pick Entry

Suppose you decide to construct a 2-pick Standard Pick'em entry for Mavericks vs. Rockets:

1. Kyrie Irving (Mavericks): You select More on his Points projection.
2. Amen Thompson (Rockets): You select More on his Rebounds projection.

If both Irving and Thompson exceed their respective statistical totals, a standard 2-pick entry pays out at 3× your entry amount (e.g., a $10 entry returns $30 total).

Mavericks vs. Rockets - Players in the Spotlight

Opening night brings plenty of intriguing storylines and proven production across both rosters:

• Kyrie Irving (Dallas Mavericks): Irving remains the focal offensive engine for Dallas. Across late-season and preseason action, Irving consistently delivers strong multi-category stat lines, frequently topping 20+ points while maintaining high conversion rates from beyond the arc.
• Amen Thompson (Houston Rockets): Thompson's versatility in the frontcourt makes him a multi-stat threat. Known for his glass-cleaning ability and fast-break playmaking, Thompson regularly hits high mark totals in combined rebounds and assists.
• Jabari Smith Jr. (Houston Rockets): Smith Jr. provides Houston with perimeter spacing and interior rebounding. He frequently logs solid floor nights with multiple three-pointers made and high defensive rebounding output.
