It’s a Top 5 clash in the UFC flyweight division, widely considered one of the most exciting UFC Weight Classes, this weekend as Kape and Horiguchi go head-to-head. Portuguese fighter Kape is listed as the -172 favorite with FanDuel ahead of the bout, and is hoping to extend his three-fight win streak. The 32-year-old has recorded three successive knockout wins, last finishing Brandon Royval in the first round.
Opponent Horiguchi is on a hot streak himself, going eight fights unbeaten and still yet to lose since returning to the UFC. He secured a decision win over Amir Albazi in his last fight, while he submitted Tagir Ulanbekov in the bout prior. This is the 35-year-old’s second stint in the promotion after vacating in 2017. He has a very respectable 9-1 record in the UFC.
These two fighters have previously met before at the Rizin World Grand Prix. It was the “Karate Kid” who sealed the victory in that one after submitting Kape late on in the third round. However, it makes sense why Kape is the favorite this time around, given he now has much greater experience under his belt, and the age gap can be used to his advantage.
“StarBoy” is an impressive striker, whose power and finishing ability could be too much for Horiguchi. However, the latter doesn’t have too many weaknesses, absorbing less strikes than his opponent. Kape does leave himself more open, so he’ll have to be careful. However, Horiguchi hasn’t secured a knockout win since 2020.

Ion Cutelaba vs. Navajo Stirling - Light Heavyweight Division
| Ion Cutelaba | TALE OF THE TAPE | Navajo Stirling |

| 6 ft 1 in | HEIGHT | 6 ft 4 in |
| 75 in | REACH | 79 in |
| 20-11-1, 1 NC | RECORD | 9-0-0 |
Moldovan fighter Cutelaba enters his matchup with Stirling on the back of a submission victory over Oumar Sy. The 32-year-old made Sy tap in the first round with a guillotine but is the underdog for this one. New Zealander Stirling is the -350 favorite with FanDuel, and is yet to lose across his nine-fight pro career. The pair of light heavyweights will be hoping to enter the UFC Rankings with a victory.
“The Hulk” has won three of his last four fights, narrowly dropping a split decision to Modestas Bukauskas last May. Cutelaba’s last two wins have come via submission, showing his strong wrestling game. He’ll look to close the distance early and force clinches, especially due to Stirling’s solid striking and ability to manage distance.
Stirling is a top kickboxer that has won all four of his fights with the UFC. The 28-year-old managed to finish Bruno Lopes back in March, and his four inch reach advantage could be key during this bout.

Hyder Amil vs. Christian Rodriguez - Featherweight Division
| Hyder Amil | TALE OF THE TAPE | Christian Rodriguez |
|---|---|---|
| 36 | AGE | 28 |
| 5 ft 9 in | HEIGHT | 5 ft 7 in |
| 70 in | REACH | 71.5 in |
| 11-2-0 | RECORD | 12-4-0 |
A pair of unranked featherweights in Hyder Amil and Christian Rodriguez head to the Octagon looking to get back in the win column following recent defeats. It’s the younger Rodriguez who is the -194 favorite with FanDuel, as he looks to bounce back from a split decision loss to Andre Fili last August. As for Amil, he’s coming into this fight following a unanimous decision loss to Jamall Emmers.
Amil kicked off his UFC career excellently, winning his first three consecutive bouts, including two knockout victories over Fernie Garcia and Lee Jeong-yeong. However, his last two outings have not gone the same way. He was finished after just 26 seconds by Jose Miguel Delgado last June and lost again to Emmers less than five months later.
Rodriguez’s mixed 5-4 promotional record highlights his inconsistency. He’ll look to slow down the pace of this fight and try to use his wrestling skills to relieve the early pressure from Amil.

Melsik Baghdasaryan vs. Murtazali Magomedov - Featherweight Division

| 5 ft 9 in | HEIGHT | 5 ft 9 in |
| 70 in | REACH | 70.5 in |
| 8-3-0 | RECORD | 10-0-0 |
Kyrgyz fighter Murtazali Magomedov makes his UFC debut this weekend after defeating Brahyam Zurcher in Dana White’s Contender Series. He’s the -340 favorite with FanDuel against veteran Melsik Baghdasaryan who has fought just three times since November 2021, losing two of those bouts.
Magomedov is undefeated across his 10-fight career. He’s finished every fight early too, securing a mixture of knockout and submission wins. That aggression in both the standup game and on the mat makes him a dangerous opponent.
To win this fight, Baghdasaryan will need to lean on his strong striking skills and keep this fight off the ground. He was submitted by Joshua Culibao in February 2023 before securing a decision win over Tucker Lutz. In his last bout, the 34-year-old suffered a first-round defeat to Jean Silva.

Vinicius Oliveira vs. Andre Fili - Featherweight Division
| Vinicius Oliveira | TALE OF THE TAPE | Andre Fili |
|---|---|---|
| 30 | AGE | 35 |
| 5 ft 9 in | HEIGHT | 5 ft 11 in |
| 70.5 in | REACH | 74 in |
| 23-4-0 | RECORD | 25-13-0, 1 NC |
Fili has alternated between wins and losses since September 2022, and after dropping a split decision to Jose Miguel Delgado, he’s the +230 underdog with FanDuel for his bout with Vinicius Oliveira. The 30-year-old has lost just one of his last six fights, but suffered his first loss in the UFC last time out after being submitted by Mario Bautista.
Veteran Fili is an incredibly experienced fighter so will be a good test for “Lok Dog” who has a 4-1 record with the promotion. Prior to Oliveira’s loss to Bautista, he had won four straight, picking up victories over Benardo Sopaj, Ricky Simón, Said Nurmagomedov, and Kyler Phillips.
