Portugal vs. Spain Prop Bets
Spain is the favorite to advance to the quarter-finals from this tie against Portugal.
Spain to Score First Goal ($0.60) at Polymarket
Spain got its campaign off to a disappointing start, tying 0-0 with World Cup debutant Cape Verde. But it responded with victories over Saudi Arabia and Uruguay to top its group, before La Roja delivered its best performance of the tournament to date in the round of 32. Spain was dominant from start to finish against Austria, winning 3-0 to reach the last 16 in style.
Portugal’s path to this stage of the competition was not quite as serene. It won only one of its three group games and finished as runner-up behind Colombia, before a dramatic 2-1 defeat of Croatia last week sent it through to the round of 16. Croatia had a goal disallowed deep into second-half stoppage time for a marginal offside.
Portugal conceded the first goal to Croatia, while Spain has opened the scoring in each of its last three matches. It has done a better job of hitting the ground running than Portugal so far. As such, aligning with many expert World Cup predictions, the first of our recommended daily World Cup team props is Spain to score the first goal at $0.60 with Polymarket.

Spain to Score Over 1.5 Goals ($0.51) at Polymarket
It is important at major tournaments to avoid peaking too soon. No one wants to reach top form in the group stage, which is why Spain’s subdued showing against Cape Verde and Uruguay will not have concerned Luis de la Fuente, a coach who knows how to pace things at competitions like the World Cup.
Importantly, Spain found its rhythm at the beginning of the knockout phase. It played some wonderful soccer against Austria, and while it certainly benefited from the feebleness of its opponent, Spain deserved to score three goals - and it could easily have had a couple more. De la Fuente will hope there is still another gear for his team to go into.
Portugal has yet to deliver a performance that can match Spain’s against Austria. It did thump Uzbekistan 5-1 on matchday two of the group stage, but it has otherwise looked like less than the sum of its parts. The defensive unit has kept only one clean sheet, and that shut-out against Colombia was more down to luck than judgment. It will struggle up against this Spanish frontline.
With Lamine Yamal getting back to his best and Mikel Oyarzabal looking sharp through the middle, Spain will back itself to put the ball in the back of the net more than once in this last-16 tie against its Iberian neighbor. Choose over 1.5 goals for Spain at $0.51 with Polymarket.

USA vs. Belgium Prop Bets
The USA continues its World Cup adventure against Belgium in the round of 16.
USA to Win the First Half ($0.31) at Polymarket
Belgium showed admirable character in the round of 32, mounting a stunning comeback to eliminate Senegal. With 85 minutes on the clock, Belgium was 2-0 down. It scored twice before the final whistle, before converting a penalty in stoppage time at the end of extra time. Yet for all that Belgium’s spirit was commendable, it also got lucky.
Indeed, Belgium was outplayed for most of the match and it was very fortunate that Senegal was only two goals up late on. Rudi Garcia’s team have not played particularly well all tournament, unlike a USA side which has exceeded expectations up to now and caused a noticeable shift in the USA odds to win World Cup futures markets.
Mauricio Pochettino’s team had to show two different sides to its game against Bosnia & Herzegovina. It dominated for the first hour and went 1-0 up, before defending its lead (and then doubling it) with 10 men. On this occasion, the USA has nothing to fear from Belgium, so it will look to make a fast start to the tie.
The USA has won three of the four first halves it has contested at the tournament. Back it to make it four in five at $0.31 with Polymarket.

Christian Pulisic to Score Over 0.5 Goals ($0.31) at Polymarket
Folarin Balogun received a red card against Bosnia & Herzegovina last time out. He will therefore miss this match through suspension, which is a huge blow to the USMNT. The soccer player props odds we wish to highlight in this section relate to Christian Pulisic, who will have to step up in Balogun’s absence - a development that is already causing a stir in the World Cup Top USA Scorer odds market.
Pulisic was a livewire as the USA beat Paraguay 4-1 on matchday one, but he had to exit the game at half-time after sustaining a calf injury. We did not see him on the field again until the USA’s third group game, when he came off the bench to play a cameo role in the 3-2 loss to Turkey.
Pulisic was involved from the start against Bosnia & Herzegovina, and while he showed flashes of his quality in the round of 32, he was clearly not at full match sharpness. Having had a few more days to work on his fitness, Pulisic will be in better shape here.
Ricardo Pepi looks set to replace Balogun up front, but Pulisic will be the USA’s principal threat in the final third. Back the AC Milan man to score any time at $0.31 with Polymarket.
