Selection Sunday has arrived and with it brings a March Madness bracket for all of us to enjoy. Not only do we now have a bracket, but sportsbooks have already started to release lines for us to wager on. North Carolina is the most recent state to legalize mobile sports betting and it could not come at a better time as both UNC and Duke fan bases come into march with National title hopes.
For those who have not signed up yet with one of the many sportsbooks available in the state of North Carolina, new users will be able to capitalize on new user sign up bonuses in NC before the start of tournament play. The BetMGM Sportsbook is one of the apps rolling out a new user promotion, giving new users $150 in bonus bets after signing up and making an initial wager of at least $5.
In order to acquire the bonus bets, new users will need to use the WSN promo code “WSNMGM” when prompted to do so during the signup process. After entering the promo code and verifying your identity, you will then be directed to make a deposit. BetMGM offers multiple deposit methods so be sure to choose which one suits you best.
After making a deposit, all you have left to do is make an initial wager of at least $5 in any market. After making the wager, your account will be credited with $150 in bonus bets. If you are eager to learn more, be sure to read our in-depth review of the BetMGM Sportsbook.
Please note that the bonus bets will expire in seven days after being distributed to your account and that there is also only one offer per new customer. Those bonus bets can be used in any market, including the March Madness National Title Futures market. North Carolina makes for an intriguing future wager, getting a favorable bracket that sets them up for a deep run.

North Carolina needed a run in their conference tournament while the Tennessee Volunteers stumbled, nabbing the one seed at the bell. Not only did they get the one seed, but an argument can be made that they got the most favorable path to make a run to the Final Four. That makes their tournament future odds very intriguing, getting a favorable price to potentially hedge as they near the championship.
North Carolina certainly has the championship identity to back their run, fielding multiple stars who can catch fire in a heartbeat. Armando Bacot is a force to be reckoned with on the boards and can back down the best of them for high-quality scoring opportunities. RJ Davis can attack the basket as well as stretch the court as an elite guard. Cormac Ryan and Harrison Ingram are viable scoring options and Elliot Cadeau leads the charge as a pure point guard.
Their defense can be prone to giving up high-quality looks from the perimeter, but UNC locks down the interior and keeps opposing bigs off the glass while minimizing second-chance opportunities. Depth is also a concern as UNC runs seven truly productive players deep, meaning one injury or early foul trouble can create serious issues. Still, the path is too favorable to be ignored and makes UNC an intriguing pick to cut down the nets.
