He has beaten only four opponents inside the distance, proving that the 33-year-old relies on his boxing skills and speed, rather than punch-power. He’ll require all that ability and ring IQ to get anything from his trip to Canada. Will Richards cause an upset?

The 5’11” southpaw boxer born in Surrey, made a winning debut at the York Hall in 2013. I was ringside at that fight as some of my teammates were on the card, noting a punch-perfect debut. The only man to defeat Lerrone to date is Steed Woodall who won by KO in round six last summer. Richards made a quickfire return to winning ways less than three months later.

Ramirez’s form makes him a worthy favourite, but the odds put us off. If you plan to back him, I’d suggest doing so in the method of victory market. I’m backing Richards.

As mentioned earlier, Lerrone has lost only once, beaten when contesting the WBO Inter-Continental super middleweight belt. That was a painful night, but he’ll be a better fighter for the experience. We’ll need a share of luck in Canada, but if Richards can find his range and settle into a rhythm, I expect this bout will last into the later rounds.
