Amanda Serrano faces Cheyenne Hanson over 10 rounds for the women’s WBO world featherweight title at the County Coliseum in Texas on Saturday evening.

  • Serrano fights Hanson for the WBO world featherweight title.

  • Amanda Serrano brings a 48-4-1 record as a professional.

  • Cheyenne Hanson is a German fighter with a 17-2-0 CV.

Serrano vs Hanson is part of a fascinating night of professional boxing, with a competitive 11-bout programme promoted by Jake Paul and Nakisa Bidarian for Most Valuable Promotions. With four belts decided on fight night, you can follow from the arena or at home thanks to USA ESPN and Sky Sports’ live coverage.

Serrano is the current world champion and has seen it all during her career as a prizefighter. The Puerto Rican made her debut back in 2009 with a points win in Albany. She lasted three years before suffering defeat. Will The Real Deal use that experience to bag a 49th victory? Hanson aims to halt her rival’s winning run, and a 76% KO average suggests she might.

Amanda Serrano vs Cheyenne Hanson 2026 05 30

Serrano is a worthy favorite, but the odds price most boxing bettors out of a wager. That’s because every $400 staked on the current champion pays just a $10 profit. That’s far too much of a risk for such a small reward. Yes, Serrano is capable of beating Hanson without too much fuss, but we must find a smarter way to approach this one.

You can bet big on Serrano to win small or bet small on Hanson to win big. Stake $10 on the underdog and you’ll return $170 if Cheyenne leaves El Paso with the title. The challenger’s odds are eye-catching, but does she have a realistic chance of winning? I’ll guide you through the form of both fighters before settling on my final Serrano vs Hanson prediction.

Serrano Form and Figures

Amanda Serrano is one of the most famous names in female combat sports. The experienced fighter from Carolina, Puerto Rico, is ranked number one in her homeland and also sits in pole position on the global charts. She ducks between the ropes with the confidence that comes from a solid win last time out, but she has lost two of her last three.

Following a second-round TKO win over Stevie Morgan in Tampa, Serrano suffered back-to-back defeats at the fists of Katie Taylor. The Irish fighting legend beat Serrano on a split decision four years ago in New York. The rematch was in Arlington in late 2024, and Taylor won by unanimous decision. She landed a clean sweep in last summer’s trilogy.

Hanson Form and Figures

Born in Bayern, Germany, Cheyenne Hanson is ranked number two in her homeland, behind Nina Meinke, and number nine in the world. Both will improve overnight if Hanson can upset the odds, silence her many doubters, and bring the belt back to Augsburg. A nine-fight winning streak suggests she has a better chance than the betting suggests.

Entering with a 17-2-0 record, both of Hanson’s defeats came on points early in her career. Her last loss was over eight rounds in Hamburg five years ago. She is improving with every bout, winning seven of nine inside the distance. Her stats look great, but Cheyenne takes a massive step up in class to face Serrano. Many in the fight game don’t think she’s ready.

Serrano vs. Hanson Prediction

The pre-fight betting odds suggest Cheyenne Hanson will struggle, and that will be the case. The German is a talented fighter, but she’s in with an experienced opponent who has been over the course and distance many times. Serrano is 37 years old but shows no signs of slowing down. A 10-round comeback win last time proves there’s plenty left in the tank.

Serrano’s experience will make a difference on fight night. The champion is fit, having boxed a total of 30 rounds in her last 3 fights. She famously unified the featherweight division and has won titles in seven different weight classes. A five-time Fighter of the Year, Amanda is also a popular figure with boxing fans and will have the crowd behind her from the bell.

If we follow the betting and pick another win for Serrano, the best approach is in the method-of-victory market. With nine of her last ten fights going the distance and testing the scoring judges, I’m happy to follow. You can back Serrano to win on points in the method-of-victory market. Odds of +400 are generally available in the betting ring, and I’d say snap it up.
