Jarrell Miller returns to the ring on Saturday when facing unbeaten Cuban Lenier Pero at the Fontainebleau Las Vegas. The ambitious pair clash in a heavyweight bout scheduled for 12 rounds, but few fight fans expect this one to go the distance. A win for Miller would move him back towards the big fights, while a victory for Pero would maintain his stunning form.

Eddie Hearn for Matchroom Boxing returns to the United States with a competitive six-fight card broadcast live on DAZN. Miller is the more experienced fighter and will enjoy the backing of a US audience. The odds above confirm bookmakers expect Miller to win this weekend. Experienced gamblers can tell from the table that a competitive encounter is expected, and victory for Pero certainly wouldn’t be a massive upset. You can keep it simple and predict the fight winner, placing a higher stake on Miller or a lower amount on Pero to boost his CV.
You can back either fighter to win as a single and stick to the main event or create a fight night parlay. Select several boxers in the fight winner market and add them to your bet slip. Input a stake, check that you’re happy with the returns, and confirm. Your wager is now live. Remember, with a parlay, you need every selection to win to secure a profit.
I must admit that I was a tad surprised to see bookmakers price Miller as their pre-fight favourite. He boasts big game experience, having shared a ring with the likes of Daniel Dubois, Andy Ruiz, and Mariusz Wach, but the 37-year-old has won only one of his last three. Do you think he’s a strong favourite or would you rather back Perro at a more attractive price?
Gamblers, and armchair boxing fans may prefer a play at a higher price. If that’s the case, the method of victory may appeal. With this approach, you’re predicting both the winning fighter and how they’ll achieve the result, such as Miller by knockout or Pero on points. Both parts must be correct to beat the bookies here, but the prizes are often worth the higher risk.

Jarrell Miller will duck between the ropes ranked number three in the United States, and 28th in the world. The big-hitter from New York has 27 wins, against one defeat and two draws. He has stopped 22 of the men placed in front of him, with his one loss also coming inside the distance. The 6’4” orthodox boxer beat Kingsley Ibeh on points back in January.
Despite his experience and reputation, that win over Ibeh remains his only success since March 2023. In his previous three fights, Jarrell was stopped by Dubois in the final round of a contest scheduled for ten in Saudi Arabia. He then boxed a majority decision draw with former world champion Andy Ruiz, before nicking that split decision win over The Black Lion.

Lenier Pero isn’t anywhere near as well-known as his opponent, but he’s desperate to close the gap. The 33-year-old southpaw was born in Camaguey, Cuba, before relocating to Miami to fight on a professional contract. Pero is ranked number two in his homeland behind the great Luis Ortiz, and a lowly 49th in the world. Victory would improve the latter overnight.
With a 13-fight unbeaten record as a prizefighter, Pero has the skills and base to improve. He has beaten eight of his previous opponents without any help from the scoring judges. We last saw Pero when he beat Jordan Thompson on points over ten rounds in Orlando. Saturday represents a huge leap up in class, and it’ll be interesting to see how he copes.

I predict a hair-raising moment for the man who famously lost his wig in a high-profile fight. Miller is good and has the power to hurt opponents, but he blows hot and cold. A lack of consistency is why the American is ranked 28th in the world. It’s nothing to do with a lack of talent. Does he give his all in training camps? At times, it doesn’t look like it.
As I mentioned earlier in my Miller vs Pero preview for World Sports Network readers, I was surprised to see Big Baby as the betting favourite. Before looking at the odds, I imagined we’d be much closer to a 50/50 fight. That makes Pero easy to back. There’s an old saying in sports gambling: trust enough overpriced selections, and you’ll make a long-term profit.
Pero is stepping up in class, but he seems ready and capable of rising to the occasion. The Cuban is an experienced and slick boxer with an elusive style that’s usual for fighters from his part of the world. I’m happy to take Pero to prove the bookies wrong and win. Those looking for a bet at more attractive odds can try Pero to win on points at +240 via BetMGM.
