Karmine Corp vs Moviestar Riders Prediction

Karmine Corp vs Movistar Riders Predictions

Oddsmakers have currently rated Karmine Corp as slight favorites to win, while Movistar Riders are presently 2 to 1 underdogs. Based on their current form and performances throughout the current tournament, Karmine Corp does appear to have a slight edge over their rivals. Qualification to the EMEA Masters series is decided based on tournament wins in the European regional circuit.

As the LFL Summer Champion, Karmine Corp qualified for direct qualification into the tournament, while Movistar Riders earned their qualification as the current LVL Superliga Summer Champions. As champions, the two teams were able to skip the play-in stage and gain direct access to the group stages.

Karmine Corp did not fare very well in the group stage. With three wins and three losses, they were outperformed by Macko Esports, who had a perfect run with a score of 6-0. Movistar Riders shared Karmine Corp’s record of 3-3, while being outperformed by Team GO, whose win tally stood at 4-2.

However, the number of wins and losses obtained by each team in the group stage would prove to be inconsequential in the end. In the semifinals, Karmine Corp was able to edge Team GO out of the tournament with a score of 3-2, while Movistar Riders proved themselves to be levels above the competition by defeating Macko Esports 3-0. Since the two teams have not faced each other in a major tournament in the recent past, it will be interesting to see how their different play styles will work against each other.

Karmine Corp on a Roll

It could be argued that Karmine Corp is nearly ready for the big leagues. If they were to win the upcoming finals against Movistar Riders, then they would have erased all doubts about the current best League of Legends team in the European regional scene. It’s important to remember that Karmine Corp was only recently known as KametoCorp when the team was founded in March 2020: they have come a long way since their inception.

In the current tournament, they have ten wins and five losses, with a map win rate of 67%. Karmine Corp’s statistics are impressive, with 2419 damage dealt per minute. They drew first blood in 46.7% of all their games, with 15.7 kills and 12.4 deaths per game, making an average kill/death ratio of 1.8 with a commendable 2.3 assists per kill on average.

Karmine Corp has managed their economy excellently throughout the current tournament. They acquired 1924 gold per minute and showed a tendency to surge ahead of the competition as the games progressed. Their gold differential per minute stood at +156 while the gold differential at 15 minutes is a massive +1445.

Their booming economy allowed them to win 80% of their games when ahead at 15 minutes, while they also destroyed the first tower in 80% of their games. Karmine Corp has interestingly had much more success when playing as the blue side when compared to the red. They had seven wins and a single loss as blue while winning only three and losing four as red.

Movistar Riders Not Far Behind

With nine wins, three losses, and a map win rate of 75%, Movistar Riders match Karmine Corp on the stats sheet. During the current tournament, they dealt an average of 2655 damage per minute and drew first blood in exactly 50% of their games. With 19.2 kills and 12.6 deaths per game, their kill/death ratio currently stands at 2.1, while they have also bagged 2.5 assists per kill.

Movistar Riders have also managed their economy just as well as Karmine Corp. During the EMEA Masters Summer 2023 tournament, they acquired 1974 gold per minute. Their gold differential per minute stood at +227 while their gold differential at 15 minutes is a massive +1668, which is even higher than what Karmine Corp has been able to manage.

Movistar Riders are a team that has shown a tendency to steamroll their way to a win if they get ahead early. They have won 87.5% of their games when ahead at 15 minutes and have destroyed the first tower in 75% of their games. Interestingly, Movistar Riders' fortunes have varied with respect to playing as the red and blue sides. As red, they have six wins and two losses, while their win tally as the blue side stands at 3-1.

While they are evenly matched on paper, Karmine Corp is overall the higher-ranked team, having faced tougher competition in the leadup to this tournament. However, that isn’t to say that the Riders don’t stand a chance. With the oddsmakers having it so even, anything can happen. We can’t wait to see who will be crowned the champion at EMEA Masters Summer 2023.
