Saturday’s MLB slate features several strong NRFI opportunities, especially with multiple young pitchers taking the mound in favorable spots. The Yankees and Brewers continue their weekend series with another quality pitching matchup, while the Padres and Giants also have starters capable of delivering clean first innings.

The New York Yankees are in first place in the American League East, and they are currently favored to reach the World Series. The Brewers are having a solid season, but facing Max Fried will be a major challenge, as he has been nearly flawless this year.
Cam Schlittler will take the mound for New York, and the young right-hander has impressed with his ability to attack hitters early in counts. He has electric stuff and generates plenty of swings and misses, which is exactly what bettors want when targeting NRFI opportunities.
Kyle Harrison gets the ball for Milwaukee and has quietly put together a strong stretch of outings. Harrison’s fastball has good life at the top of the zone, and he has done a solid job limiting hard contact early in games.
The Brewers can be aggressive at the plate, but that could actually work in Harrison’s favor if he is able to induce quick outs. With two talented arms on the mound, this looks like another low-scoring first inning in this series.

The Padres had defensive meltdowns on Friday, but this should improve on Saturday. The pitching matchup will be fun with two experienced pitchers on the mound.
Dustin May draws a favorable matchup against a Cardinals lineup that has struggled with consistency throughout the season. St. Louis has shown flashes offensively, but this offense still strikes out at a high rate against power pitchers.
Randy Vasquez will counter for the Padres, and he has quietly been effective in the opening inning this year. Vasquez attacks the strike zone and does a good job avoiding free passes, which is critical against a disciplined Padres lineup.
Petco Park is also one of the better pitcher-friendly environments in baseball, making this matchup even more appealing from a NRFI perspective.

The Giants have played excellent baseball recently, but this matchup still sets up nicely for a NRFI because both starting pitchers have a good strikeout arsenal.
Braxton Ashcraft will start for Pittsburgh, and the right-hander has shown solid command and composure early in his appearances this season. He attacks hitters aggressively and has done a good job preventing early damage.
Landen Roupp has quietly become a reliable arm for San Francisco. His ability to generate strikeouts with runners off balance makes him an intriguing option in NRFI betting markets.
The Pirates continue to struggle offensively against quality pitching, especially on the road. Meanwhile, the Giants have been much more patient at the plate lately, which could lead to a slower-paced opening inning.
With both pitchers entering this game in solid form, backing a scoreless first inning is the best value on the board.

Athletics vs. Orioles - Aaron Civale vs. Shane Baz: Both starting pitchers in this game surrender runs, but it’s the offenses that are concerning. Camden Yards is very favorable for hitters, so look for early runs.
