Kyle Busch Looks to Extend His Record Victory Total at Charlotte

It’s hard to bet against Kyle Busch in a NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

After all, he holds the track record with nine victories in 26 Xfinity starts, and on 22 occasions he has finished in the top 10.

Busch won in his last race at Charlotte, but that was four years ago. In fact, the last 11 Xfinity events at the 1.5-mile track have produced 11 different winners.

It might be sacrilege to pick against Busch at Charlotte, but he’s racing for the first time there in the No. 33 Richard Childress Racing Chevrolet. His last seven wins at Charlotte have come in Toyotas.

We don’t expect Busch to add to his Charlotte win total in the BetMGM 300, and we recommend avoiding him at +250 via DraftKings Sportsbook.

Ty Gibbs Seeks Another Xfinity Win in Double-Duty Driving Role

Like Kyle Busch, Ty Gibbs is a former NASCAR Xfinity Series winner at Charlotte. The difference is that Gibbs hasn’t been nearly as prolific, having claimed his only victory there in 2021.

But Gibbs is driving stellar equipment this weekend, fielded by his grandfather Joe Gibbs. Over the last few years, the Joe Gibbs Racing Toyotas have outperformed all other competitors in the Xfinity Series.

Kyle Busch ought to know—he used to drive them. Even though Gibbs might have the best equipment on the track on Saturday, we’re not picking him this week at +350 via DraftKings.

In his short career, Gibbs has 12 Xfinity victories in just 60 starts, but we’re looking elsewhere for the winner this weekend.

Justin Allgaier Has a Chance to Go Back-to-Back Twice This Weekend

Two weeks ago, we told you Justin Allgaier was long overdue for a NASCAR Xfinity Series victory.

Sure enough, he took the checkered flag in a decisive win at Darlington Raceway, leading 119 of 147 laps and beating Austin Hill to the finish line by 3.407 seconds.

After a week off, the Xfinity Series comes to Charlotte Motor Speedway for the BetMGM 300, and Allgaier has a chance to bank a pair of back-to-back stats.

First, he’s the defending winner of the race at the 1.5-mile track, where he scored a convincing victory from the pole last season.

Second, he can win a second straight race in the series, now that his No. 7 JR Motorsports Chevrolet has capitalized on the speed it has shown all season.

Allgaier is our choice to win this week at +500 via DraftKings, as the veteran Xfinity regular one-ups the NASCAR Cup Series moonlighters.

Bet on Justin Allgaier (+500) at DraftKings
