NBA Player Props and Best Bets: Kevin Durant, Darius Garland & More Picks for Saturday, Dec. 6
On the day of the college football conference championships, I’ve also come prepared with my best NBA player prop bets for Saturday.
Nikola Jokic went for 40 points, nine rebounds, and eight assists in a one-point win over the Atlanta Hawks, while Pascal Siakam’s 36 points and 10 rebounds helped the Indiana Pacers add a rare win to their collection against the Portland Trail Blazers.
There are seven league-wide matchups today, headlined by the Houston Rockets visiting the Dallas Mavericks for an in-state showdown in the late slot.
Here are my top NBA player prop picks and bets for Saturday, Dec. 6.

Zaccharie Risacher over 11.5 points (-106) at FanDuel Sportsbook
The first-overall pick in the draft a year ago hasn’t lit the world on fire as a sophomore, averaging 11.3 points and 2.7 rebounds on 45.2 percent shooting. He also went under this line in three straight games, but there’s reason to believe he’ll reverse that trend.
The Washington Wizards have the worst defense in the league and play at a quick pace, which complements Risacher’s skills in transition. He also scored 17 points when these teams played less than two weeks ago, not to mention he could be used as fresh legs on the second night of a back-to-back after only playing for 21 minutes last night.

Kevin Porter Jr. under 20.5 points (-108) at FanDuel Sportsbook
Porter Jr. put up 20 points in last night’s 116-101 loss to the Philadelphia 76ers. He got to the free-throw line nine times, but he only shot 38.5 percent from the field and 33.3 percent from three, which marked a nice return to the norm after he outperformed realistic expectations to start his season.
The Detroit Pistons have a strong defense, ranking 10th in rating over their last 10 outings, and they don’t have to worry about guarding either Giannis Antetokounmpo or Damian Lillard. They will be able to allocate resources to him if he enters the paint, not to mention they have athletic wings capable of sticking in front of him.

Kevin Durant over 25.5 points (-112) at FanDuel Sportsbook
The Dallas Mavericks have done a terrific job of defending the three-point line all year and are seventh in defensive rating, yet they’re right at 15th in points allowed per game over their last 10 contests. Durant, meanwhile, scored 28 points just last night and will have a clear advantage over Cooper Flagg, if that’s who draws the assignment.
Durant is the epitome of consistency, while the Mavs are struggling with expectations that they will trade Anthony Davis and underperforming veteran players. This is a spot where the hot player and team stay hot, and Durant gets over this line.

Darius Garland under 6.5 assists (-112) at FanDuel Sportsbook
The Golden State Warriors might be down Stephen Curry, and therefore have very little chance to win this game, but that’s actually a positive for their defense. They’re above league-average in assists allowed per game and looked solid in their most recent contest, a loss against the Philadelphia 76ers.
Garland only had four assists in his last game against the Blazers, not to mention he only played for 29 minutes. A decreased workload combined with a strong effort from the Dubs should help keep him under this line.

Julius Randle under 6.5 rebounds (+110) at FanDuel Sportsbook
Randle averaged 7.5 rebounds per game and can be a menace on the glass, but the Los Angeles Clippers can also be solid when at full strength. Randle also hasn’t demonstrated a ton of consistency against teams where he and the Minnesota Timberwolves weren’t a complete mismatch.
Looking back at Randle’s matchups with teams that had a strong rebounding big man (like Ivica Zubac) and personnel on the wings, he hung around the 50/50 mark. He also went under in two of his last three games, so I’m willing to take the risk for plus-money value.
